I really loved it..Bogota was nice, the people kind of friendly. Cartagena was awesome, people were super friendly and the food was great. I stayed in the poor section so got to see how people really live. A lot of them were extremely poor but seemed happier then most people I know. The driving had me praying that's for sure LOL Last Edited by geminilion on 12/08/2012 06:10 PM ..."The soul is dyed the color of its thoughts. Think only on those things that are in line with your principles and can bear the light of day. The content of your character is your choice. Day by day, what you choose, what you think, and what you do is who you become. Your integrity is your destiny ... it is the light that guides your way." Heraclitus |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 29300892 Australia 12/08/2012 07:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When I say worst country i mean things like: Quoting: Dutch Retriever 1) really rude people, who lack manors 2) bad drivers that play chicken with pedestrians 3) Very aggressive SCAM artists 4) Lack of law and order 5) Lack of respect for public domains 6) Corrupt public servants like bad cops. When I say most favoured, think about friendly people, food, transportation, Nightlife etc etc. Mines: Worst is France at the top. Best was Indonesia. :dutchweed: I've been to France, and Indonesia. I loved France, had an awesome trip, Indonesia was a steamy shit hole. We were searched every time we went into our hotel, which was filled with wealthy, loud mouthed, Indonesian woman. France, we had the art galleries, the restaurants, the antiques. Beautiful. I understand, a good trip has more to do with personal experience, and traveling partner, then external factors. |

Quoting: Phill My favorite has to be Suriname went to exactly this place --> Never been to the jungle before, was life changing experience. Makes you realize how retarded you are as sheltered European. In the Netherlands there are no natural disasters, no dangerous bugs, no dangerous animals, not even a big enough forest to get lost in, just walk in any direction and you will find something in a few hours. It is a real shock to suddenly be in a Jungle 200 miles from civilisation seeing all kinds of bugs you have seen in horror docs on Discovery, seeing wild crocs, tarantula's, HUGE fucking creepy spiders that are incredibly fast and smart, not like the retard house spiders we have here, weather so hot your entire body is wet from the sweat while standing in the shade, trees with spikes in them, mosquitos everywhere, giant moths the size of bats and best of all, weed so fucking tasty, so fucking pure it makes Dutch weed seem like shit. I loved it, the food was so fucking good, all fresh shit from the forrest, no GMO foods, no Exxx numbers, no fake sugars and crap, just real food grown by themself and SOOOOOOOO FUCKING TASTYY!!! AAAH The water was also so nice, every day swimming in the water there, like the entire river is a nice bath. It has everything, you can just fish and use your catch for food, you can walk in the jungle and just find something to eat, can't be too picky though:P Also loved the fact that because Suriname was a dutch colony many people there speak Dutch. It is pretty strange to be able to talk Dutch with people living pretty deep in the Amazon rainforest. Loved the noises at night, like a giant orchestra of life. Most beautiful was staying up one night and seeing the sun rise and hearing the forrest wake up. It was so amazing I still have a hard time actually realizing I experienced that, it really was like the shit you see would only see on a docu. Hearing the sounds change, feeling the warmth, seeing the sun, aaah, wanna go back so bad!!!! Its all so pure and bursting with life, its like you are on a different planet. zmaj13 User ID: 29247972 Brazil 12/09/2012 08:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Don't like to generalize, so I list cities instead: Best: KL, Malaysia. Clean and urbanized with a very safe and modern downtown. This city really blew me away. Worst: Cuidad del Este, Paraguay. This is a true shithole where everyone tries to fleece you. This is kind of a tax free zone where Brazilians go to purchase cheap junk. The surroundings though, Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil and Puerto Iguazu in Argentina, are marvelous though. US as a country is also spectacular. Been there in every corner and while Florida, NY and Texas has a certain appeal, the European looking parts, such as Boulder, CO, and the other side of Lake Washington, with Redmond, Bellevue and Kirkland made me feel at home. As for Europe, since I am from Sweden, cities like Rome, Paris and London have always been at hand, so for me it's not a big deal. Yes I've been to Paris and Rome and it was good, but never felt any real desire to visit these cities. That's probably why I've never visited London either. Truth is stranger than fiction!!! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 2257547 United States 12/09/2012 09:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Worst - France, by far. Horrible people. Italy was also not a pleasant experience. Honestly, I did not like Canada very much either. I was in Berlin, Germany (East Berlin) before the wall came down. That was a much better experience than France or Italy. Best - Holland, Belgium, West Indies, Japan |
