We'll see what happens. I have 6 weeks of vacation time saved up and figured a good a time as any to take it and wait. If nothing happens, hell, at least I can say I will have had a nice adventure.

I live in a small semi rural town in NE Ohio that's pretty safe. But my suv stays loaded with survival gear. The last time telephone lines caught on fire was 1890 or so.....

I am now settled in my bug-out location. I'm typing this from my phone--amazingly getting reception. To the people who call me an idiot, well, there are quite a few idiots here with me who are also prepared for the worse. If nothing happens, I go home and continue life and consider this a vacation.

I won't feel like an ass. Nothing happens it was just a vacation. If anything does happen, though, we have enough dried/survival food for 12 people for six months, plenty of water, fuel, gas powered generaters, seeds, etc. I hope nothing happens but hey why not be prepared

well I am prepared if anything does happen on that day. We added an extra 3 months to our normal 6 months of winters supplies so I know if something does happen we will be ready for it. You never know what may or may not happen at any time. Good luck and may God keep you safe.

Correct. do maintenance and fire up those gennies. look at your seed stores and decide which ones you are going to sprout THIS YEAR and make a plan to replace them. Rotate some of your food stocks. all of the water. Try some of that survival food to find out what is actually good, what is ho-hum, and what is not worth eating no matter what.

Best to do it when your brain is not in crisis mode. Kinda like what the oldtimers say: "Don't go to the grocery store on an empty stomach"

We're working on all that. Allright tested all of the generators.

I'm already bugged out in place. Warm & cozy. If something happens we are ready. If nothing happens, we are still fine and life can go on. No loss.

But on the slim chance that something does happen...I will not have to watch my family die over a few days simply for the lack of a drink of water.

I do not see the reason folks make fun of folks who looked ahead and prepared to take care of themselves in case of an emergency. Better safe than sorry.

My guess is they are a bit too cowardly to make a stand.
They think the government will take care of them. Maybe they are like the folks who laughed at Noah...and how did that work out buddy?

No basement. No bug out place. I have 12 gallons of water and whatever is in my pantry. I have a few packs of smokes. Couple of bottles of Booze. I will be fine. Bring the doom on.

The point of a bug out spot is for it to not be known of. By telling a bunch of people on the internet where you are going to be doesn't that kind of defeat the point?

I kinda got the idea telling us is ok. It ain't exactly facebook. I do not think the government is going to follow him up to the boonies. They have their bunkers to think about. They don't give a damn about us.
