Anonymous Coward User ID: 29329966 Canada 12/08/2012 01:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm a 43 y/o married family guy who lives in a house full of females. I'm tired of children's shows and chick flicks and sometimes want to do guy stuff. Go bowling, go out for beers, or just hand with the guys, but it's always discouraged. I have to be close to take the girls to the mall and pay for their useless junk. No one ever wants to do stuff I want to do. Even my mother, who lives in my basement, frowns on me having any outside guy friends. she feels any social needs I have should be met by the family. Is this right? I'm going insaine!!!! Second problem is listening to her. Grow some balls. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26369344 It's not just her. My wife doesn't have any friends either. All she wants to do is sit at home and stare at the damn TV like a vegetable. When I go out and have fun, I end up feeling guilty. Even when I take her out, dinner, movie or a nice walk, she doesn't seem to have fun. |

I just noticed a masonic lodge in my hometown the other day. It's been there for 50 years and I only just really "looked" at it. |

You will always have the excuse of "secret" masonic business to get you away and into some guy's basement bar, or such like. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 17114980 Canada 12/08/2012 01:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | honestly brah, if you want to be the MAN of the house, you HAVE to leave for 2-3 days. When you get back explain NOTHING just tell them they should count their lucky stars you have returned. of course, there's no hope you will do that, you have been pussified. But now at least you know what you must do. Go walk into the wilderness and reclaim what makes you a man. |

Just say a couple of days beforehand "Jerry and the guys and I are getting together for bowling so you won't need to cook for me on Friday". If your mother is discouraging it then she probably has issues she needs to address too such as she might have been cheated on but that is not YOUR problem or issue. Get out dude and do man things before you get really bitter. Your wife is dumb in my opinion. |
