Toutatis is one of the largest known potentially hazardous asteroids (PHAs) and its orbit is inclined less than half-a-degree from Earth's. No other kilometer-sized PHA moves around the Sun in an orbit so nearly coplanar with our own. This makes it an important target for asteroid studies. bet ya pieces of this hitting but they arent saying [link to www.spaceweather.com] |

Toutatis has been making close approaches to Earth at four-year intervals since its discovery, and as a result, it was studied extensively with radar in 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, and 2008, and also at a variety of optical and infrared wavelengths in 1992-1993. Toutatis is an irregular and very elongated object. It's also a very slow, non-principal axis rotator characterized by 5.4-day [link to echo.jpl.nasa.gov] |

Scientists have modeled its strange rotation and odd shape -- it looks something like a pockmarked dumbbell -- on previous flybys. [link to www.space.com] |

If you take the number of days between the last orbital crossing of 4179 Toutatis and the next one which will occur in 2008, it amounts to 1502 or 1503 days +/- 12 hours. If you calculate the next time it will pass Earth's orbit based on that number of days alone (obviously not 100% accurate but close), you end up with a date of ~ December 21, 2012 +/- 12 hours. Two of the three most likely end dates of the "Long Count" for the Mayan calendar are December 21, 2012 and December 23, 2012 according to this website [link to webexhibits.org] |

The Chinese lunar probe Chang'e 2 departed from the Sun–Earth L2 point on April 15, 2012 and is en-route to the asteroid. The spacecraft is expected to make a flyby of Toutatis on December 13, 2012, at a distance of a few hundred kilometers and at a relative velocity of 10.7 km/s, when Toutatis is near closest approach to the Earth.[19][20] [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] wow |

Toutatis won't be visible to the naked eye, but binoculars should suffice for spotting it in the night sky. A telescope would provide the best viewing, because it would allow the viewer to detect the slow motion of Toutatis against the background stars. The most recent such asteroid strike occurred in 1908, when an asteroid measuring about 60 meters in diameter hit Russia. The "Tunguska" bolide exploded in the atmosphere and flattened about 700 square miles of Siberian forest. [link to www.astrobio.net] Just saying |

Asteroid is in this picture at the same time the rapture/ascension takes place at the time of the pyramids/Mayan calendar. There are two people on the earth - one is taken and one is left and has no clue as to the meteor/asteroid or the rapture because he is too involved with the cell phone/technology in today's world. There are too many things in this picture that are happening at the same time for anyone to ignore... Quoting: DaddysGirl :endtime: Dude, it's abstract is it not?
