Over two million people will stop receiving jobless benefits immediately if Congress doesn't make a #fiscalcliff deal!!!

Democrats would never allow any sort of benefit or entitlement expire.

I'm not saying many people on unemployment aren't hard-working, upstanding citizens in unfortunate circumstances, but the democrat's base are people sucking on the government teat and they wouldn't want to pull it back.

That's how they lure many people in to vote democrat, and by making those people dependent on government aid down the road that's how they force people to continue to vote democrat.

There is a lot of anger and hate in this thread. That is exactly what keeps the government doing what they do. Over the past twenty years the majority of high paid industries were relocated to foreign countries. Our country has turned into service jobs that keep us slaves to the government. It now takes two or more jobs to feed our families while our parents only depended on one salary while our mothers stayed home and keep the families healthy. Now everyone works like a slave and the kids are running wild while the government kills everyone they can in foreign countries as well as in the US with the Gulf oil spill and other disasters they create in order to destroy.

We have turned our noses up at the millions being killed by a government that poisons our air, food, and water. The chemicals in our daily products keep us sick and running back and forth to NWO doctors who continue to pump more poison into our bodies instead of actually curing diseases. People continue to scream about the people who barely get enough money to survive while the military is spending Billions killing everyone that doesn't bow down to the fake colorful paper that has zero real value. People bitch when others are too sick or dumb-ed down by the poison that is constantly sprayed in our air, water, and food while the elite each fresh organic food and know real methods to heal themselves, while they live free as a bird. The slaves work, eat and breath poison while the elite sit back and laugh at how they have us divided. Divide and Conquer.

The entire system was designed to destroy the US by dividing the people. It is a deliberate game they have played. I am surprised people are not seeing what is actually happening. The two party system is BS and keeps everyone split and divided.

I overheard a guy at work few months ago complaining that he had gotten this job and that he wished he was still on unemployment and welfare. He told his Friend that he couldn't wait until he was laid off from this job so he can go back to "hanging with my boys" and getting paid for it. He then proceeded to laugh with him friend saying "Obama going to take care of us no matter what we do.

He finally was kicked off because he would not. Look for job. He liked not having job and got used to getting paid for nothing. He still has no job 2 years later but is still living on someone else's dime, just not government.

The debt is going to go up 7 to 9 trillion over the next 10 years and asshole liberals like Paul Krugman says it doesn't matter. There will never be inflation and no one will ever stop buying out debt, we can just print more. Our government is inept and irresponsible and we will suffer the consequences not them. If this thing collapses, I hope the politicians in DC get smoked.

In the last six months 73% of all new jobs were created in government. Unemployment Insurance is not welfare and your "living on my dime" crap is just ignorant. It's raised through state and federal unemployment insurance taxes on employers. The federal tax is 6.2 percent on the first $7,000 in annual wages to each employee.

Now we live in a consumption based economy where we are seeing close to zero job growth and the fiscal cliff solutions people have are lower taxes on the rich and eliminate unemployment? Do you understand mathematically how insane that is and how much of a guarantee it is that we will find ourselves in another recession if all you radical "WHY DON'T DEH JUST GETTA JERB" folks get your way?

So let us fix our debt by cutting out less then 1% in spending and doing away with any potential for economic growth, which is what we desperately need.

Solution? Don't fuck with unemployment, reform welfare to cut waste, reduce taxes for all Americans making less then 150k a year, moderate increase to tax for 150k-5m, and all income over 5 needs a hefty tax increase. This will promote consumption. Consumption will create demand for new jobs as corporations will not be able to keep up with the demand. Tax breaks and record profits (which we have right now) do not generate jobs as there is no need for a new position.

This really isn't that complicated but deep seeded hatred for humans you don't even know is going to allow politicians to bend most of the people over in this thread and continue to force a stagnant economy on all of us.

Oh an unemployment isn't suppose to last this long. It's only being extended to help prop up the economy from stopping 2+ million consumers from dropping out of mainstream America which will effect every individual from the small business owner to the CEOs of walmart. Extended benefits would be done away with once our rates were healthy enough to not need state/federal funding to prop up the system but it's the hard reality of just how fucked we all are because of rhetoric that can be found in this thread.
