ARE BB GUNS ANY GOOD FOR DEFENSE???

What if you somehow managed to drill out the bb and pack some kind of impact explosive inside it?

I thought those BB's would at least slow someone down. I sure wouldnt want to be on the receiving end of it.

How about some armstrongs mix with a tiny bit of C4?

Can these be used in any BB guns? I saw one, which is why i'm asking. Good price, looks like a pistol, sort of.

No. Even if you used pellets, there is no knockdown power based upon the force generated.

Some people don't like using them for hunting since truthfully there's a potential for there to be inadequate force generated towards this purpose.

These are pellets for a pellet gun but you could do a similar thing with BB's.

No they are slugs for a slug gun only Americans call them pellets

Fandango Ranger issued air assault rifles are perfect for taking ddown longwalkers.

I wouldnt know where to get the stuff.

I prefer my Glock, but my Crossman is almost as powerful as a 22. And I can shoot leaves off a tree at 25 to 30 feet. My guess is that a well placed shot from this rifle would be quite effective.

That said, definitely not a first choice.

For air rifles, I'd choose a Gamo Silent Stalker in .22 caliber for defense (assuming I was only considering air based weapons)...at almost 1000 Feet Per Second velocities, it could easily penetrate the chest (central mass) as well as the skull.

Ammo is VERY cheap because its only lead bullets (no case or powder).

A slight step up would be a .22 LR or .22 Magnum rifle or pistol.

bb gun isn't going to do anything, they are only spring loaded.

there are air rifles and pistols but they still wont stop someone.


i understand you wouldn't be interested in killing someone but get a small caliber handgun and take some shooting classes and if you ever need to defend yourself don't aim above the waist. pump a few rounds in their legs and they will go down.

if you really want to make sure they go down get a 12 gauge shotgun and some buckshot and aim below the waist, i can guarantee that they will go down, depending on the distance from them it will damn near take a leg off and at the very least they will have a permanent limp for the rest of their life.

if you really want to pack a wallop get a slug which is a shotgun shell which contains a single lead projectile.

when i used to hunt with my father when i was young he had this crazy friend that would come along sometimes and at the end of a day we were walking back to the truck and we heard him fire a ways of and immediately heard this dull pop.

finally got to the truck and went to where he was and he shot a deer and it literally had no head, just a mangled neck and we were like wtf why did you cut its head off.

he said i didn't i shot it in the head with a slug so no buckshot would ruin the meat. that pop we heard right after he fired was the deers head exploding.

No, I'm not. Price out pepper spray. If you're not prepared for the front door, or back, well then good luck. On the other hand, all we're trying to do is delay the assault, with time on our side and this is a formidable offensive move.

Seriously. NO. A BB gun is not going to stop an attacker. It will only piss them off. If you aren't going to arm yourself with a real gun but your attacker thinks you have one because all he knows is that you are pointing something at him, you are only going to get yourself shot... by a real gun.

Not everyone is cut out for guns. That's fine. Just don't bother picking anything up that looks like a gun if it isn't and don't bother getting a real gun if you can't handle the thought and never intend to use it. You would be better off with mace or a taser.

LMAO when I was a kid my older brother would throw a beating on me for fun. One day as I was holding my bedroom door shut and he was throwing his body weight at it,I grabbed my double barreled bb rifle. I pumped it up but there were no bb's in it. I let go of the door and he came crashing in. I put the rifle up to his face and let loose with both barrels of air. I never heard him whelp like that before,he never fucked with me again.

Get a 12g shotgun and use non-lethal shells, they have all kinds of non-lethal ammo but will still stop a perp.

Aim for the eyes kid....
