Newsflash, they make .45 cal air guns.
Quoting: JennOfArc newsflash, when bubba kicks in your door you dont have time to connect your rifle to a scuba tank, fill it to the appropraite pressure, load a single projectile, close the gun, take the safety off, and then shoot him.  Just get a Ruger 10/22 or a .38 Revolver or a 12 gauge Shotgun with a short barrel if your accuracy isn't the greatest.
