God is the father

" Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son,
and shall call his name Immanuel. "

Immanuel = God with us.

Well which is it, is God the son or the Father?

Yes, Jesus was the beginning of Jehovah's creation.
"13 He delivered us from the authority of the darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love, 14 by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist, 18 and he is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he might become the one who is first in all things; 19 because [God] saw good for all fullness to dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile again to himself all [other] things by making peace through the blood [he shed] on the torture stake, no matter whether they are the things upon the earth or the things in the heavens." Jesus was HUMAN capable of DEATH, yet still GOD capable to raise others from the dead, which only God can do. The few places where Jesus says God the Father is greater than he is, is due to him being HUMAN, and was not the case before he was born a man, or the case today after ascending to heaven.

As the passage shows there are three beings to God. There is only one God, and Jesus was God on earth.

Really? So who spoke from heaven at his baptism? was he pulling off a ventrilicism trick on everyone?
"Then Jesus came from Gal′i·lee to the Jordan to John, in order to be baptized by him. 14 But the latter tried to prevent him, saying: “I am the one needing to be baptized by you, and are you coming to me?” 15 In reply Jesus said to him: “Let it be, this time, for in that way it is suitable for us to carry out all that is righteous.” Then he quit preventing him. 16 After being baptized Jesus immediately came up from the water; and, look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw descending like a dove God’s spirit coming upon him. 17 Look! Also, there was a voice from the heavens that said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.” Mt3;13

No one has ever claimed Mary was the mother of God. She was the mother of Jesus, the SON of God and part of the Trinity. Big difference. MAry was a vessel for the birth of the SON of God.

" So the angel said to her: “Have no fear, Mary, for you have found favor with God; 31 and, look! you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, and you are to call his name Jesus. 32 This one will be great and will be called Son of the Most High; and Jehovah God will give him the throne of David his father, 33 and he will rule as king over the house of Jacob forever, and there will be no end of his kingdom.”
34 But Mary said to the angel: “How is this to be, since I am having no intercourse with a man?” 35 In answer the angel said to her: “Holy spirit will come upon you, and power of the Most High will overshadow you. For that reason also what is born will be called holy, God’s Son." Lk1:26

Anyone else notice that little bit of legalism?
nice to know david was a foreskin collector, which seems that foreskin scalper is an excellent reason to be king of those that cant wait to get them disposed of.

"Again the Devil took him along to an unusually high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, 9 and he said to him: “All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him: “Go away, Satan! For it is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’” 11 Then the Devil left him, and, look! angels came and began to minister to him." Mark 16:9
But he rising early the first day of the week, appeared first to Mary Magdalen, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

John 14: [6] Jesus saith to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me. [7] If you had known me, you would without doubt have known my Father also: and from henceforth you shall know him, and you have seen him.

[8] Philip saith to him: Lord, shew us the Father, and it is enough for us. [9] Jesus saith to him: Have I been so long a time with you; and have you not known me? Philip, he that seeth me seeth the Father also. How sayest thou, shew us the Father? [10] Do you not believe, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself. But the Father who abideth in me, he doth the works.

[11] Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me?

John 17:[21] That they all may be one, as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee; that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. [22] And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, as we also are one:

Apocalypse 22: [9] And he said to me: See thou do it not: for I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them that keep the words of the prophecy of this book. Adore God. [10] And he saith to me: Seal not the words of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

[11] He that hurteth, let him hurt still: and he that is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is just, let him be justified still: and he that is holy, let him be sanctified still. [12] Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to every man according to his works.

[13] I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. [14] Blessed are they that wash their robes in the blood of the Lamb: that they may have a right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city. well he has her DNA cuz half the point of the Bible is tracing Jesus lineage through Mary.

But as far as praying to her and all that...nope.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29329801

A most interesting thought. If Jesus had half Mary's dna wouldn't the glitch of sin have infected him?
 Quoting: DGN

I believe it did, to a degree.

Now, before anyone stones me, let me explain.

The book of Hebrews (4:15) explains that Jesus was tempted in every way and he understands our troubles and temptations. In order for someone to be tempted, that person has to know the feeling of wanting to do what is being offered to them. Most Christians (including me at one time) cannot accept that Jesus actually wanted things like power or sex, because if He did, he would have sinned. Of course, this flys in the face of believing that He was the sinless Lamb of God.

However, I have settled on my belief that Jesus was fully God and sinless in the Spirit, while being fully human in flesh. This is really the only way that we could have a bridge back to our Heavenly Father to break the sin barrier, to have a High Priest that can forgive us of our sins, all the while truly understanding what we go through in our daily lives battling the temptations that we do.
