What time will the world end on DECEMBER 21??

THIS is the right answer. That's when we align with the center of the Milky Way galaxy and its central sun. That's 3:11 am on the US Pacific Coast; 6:11 am Eastern time on 12/21/2012.

It's good because most of us will be home then, with our families, come what may.

Not to be rude but our leap years have nothing to do with this. Mayans had a 26,000 year cycle and according to our present calender that happens to land on December 21st.

The world will not end on Dec.21,2012.How I know this you ask? well my milk dont expire until Dec.26,the government hasnt collected my taxes yet,the mayans never saw the Spaniards coming,and finally the Mayan calender does not take into concideration the account of Leap Years.(with that being said,the world should have already ended)
