Re: My best friend in high school has turned into a fatass
I recently went to my 20 year this last year. Haven't seen a soul since graduation. Every last one of them was morbidly obese. It's a damn shame. I felt guilty showing up.

I'm 6'4" 215 and shredded. I run 5 miles a day and lift. In the last two years I quit cutting my hair (request from wife) so it's shoulder length from the top. I live in South Flowrida and go sailing and fishing all the time so my tan is dark. Always had perfect teeth. I bought a new jacket and rolled up in my G500. We drove for the road trip and didn't want the whole family on the same flight.

I don't tell you this because I am so wonderful but compared to everyone there I was looking pretty damn good if I do say so. My kids model out of Miami and because of that I have picked up a few paying side gigs for fun. My wife is of course a bombshell. So when we walked in there it created a lot of drama. Two girls got in a fight over me. My wife was like how many of them did you sleep with. I lied and said about ten to keep the number low.

All i can hope is we inspired them to get in shape. It's a shit town up north. I think we made them realize they aren't 80 years old yet and with the right perspective and a little discipline 38 can still feel like 18. I'll never go back though. The redneck attitude from everyone was depressing.

I came, I trumped, and I left. Never to return.

Oh, come on! Everyone in your whole class was morbidly obese except for you?

I think you were too busy looking in the mirror to notice everyone else.

Everyone that was there anyway. Which was about half the class. Don't underestimate my hometown. It's probably the obesity capital of earth.

As for me, watch for this spring's Royal Caribbean commercial. If it airs in the states I'm the guy in the pool lifting his daughter in the air.

good for you! I don't doubt for a second what you wrote about yourself. I have stayed very well preserved myself (at least that is what I am told by friends) and weigh even less than I did in HS, in fact I am in the best shape of my life, because for the last 20 years I have been a daily runner, lifted weights to keep tone, I don't drink or do drugs, I eat clean and I have an extremely active lifestyle.

I have never been to one HS reunion despite how fabulous I still look for my age (wee bit of sarcasm, lol). Mostly because I lived too far away when they happened and could not be bothered to get on a plane and waste the money to see people who could not have given a shit about me in HS 20+ years later and try to prove that somehow I turned out 'cool' - when I left my hometown, I never looked back. Why would I? There was a great big world to discover and lots of people in it. However, good old facebook served as a nice way to reconnect with old HS friends, the only problem was as soon as some of the mean girls see that you are not as fat as they are or God forbid your husband is quite attractive, the claws come out and the gossip starts. Its comical, really. I was unpopular in HS but somehow landed this awesome, gorgeous husband who still has marky mark set of abs and a brilliant mind, yet some of the girls talked behind my back and said shit about me. And a few of them were, you guessed it, either 50 pounds overweight or divorced, or both. Once again I was reliving the horror so many called high school. No thanks, I'll pas... life is good now and I have friends that not only think I am a nice person, but they give me compliments and tell me I am pretty. HS sucked for me, I was treated terrible. And of all the people that I liked least re-connecting with on FB it was only the people from HS that seemed to be so pretentious and superficial. Perhaps that is because I grew up in one of those super snobby elite towns where everyone thinks they have arrived and many still reside there. I was an average gal, who was never considered pretty in HS who later managed to marry a great guy who treats me like a princess.

Bottom line with reunions is they are to compare. If you like hanging out with a bunch of old, bald, fat ex classmates of which most are divorced I suppose someone might have a good time among their kind. Its not for me. I know someone who was deeply insecure in HS that still goes to EVERY reunion because they are super successful now and very wealthy. I just laugh at the fact that no one cares, its just a few hours to take notes and then talk shit behind people's backs.

Try posting a picture of yourself (in a skimpy bathing suit) with your hot husband at the beach on facebook and women (that are not true friends)get nasty. I actually got into an argument on FB with one girl who accused me of posting a picture that was 10 years ago... she would not believe that I had no body fat and a rocking set of abs. I was like "No, that was this past summer, bitch, deal with it, this is how I look now, I am not the awkward, shy, bullied girl I was in HS". I later deleted her fat, zoloft ass.

You sir, are a clown. You have a morbidly obese ego-it's just as much of a problem as a morbidly obese body. Carry on.
