Hey there Mr Nostradamus... 'inspired prophet'... how do you suppose you missed this one ?
"I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus, who is destined to judge the living and the dead, and by his manifestation and his kingdom, 2 preach the word, be at it urgently in favorable season, in troublesome season, reprove, reprimand, exhort, with all long-suffering and [art of] teaching. 3 For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. 5 You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do [the] work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry." 2Ti4;1

Oppsss.... well now this seems to explain you...don't it buddy?

Re: Hey there Mr Nostradamus... 'inspired prophet'... how do you suppose you missed this one ?
I can guarantee the following to be correct, having verified it myself.

In 1972, the Watchtower described itself as "the modern-day "prophet"".

"So, does Jehovah have a prophet to help them, to warn them of dangers and to declare things to come?

IDENTIFYING THE "PROPHET"

These questions can be answered in the affirmative. Who is this prophet? ... This "prophet" was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible Students. Today they are known as Jehovah's Christian witnesses. ... Of course, it is easy to say that this group acts as a "prophet" of God. It is another thing to prove it. The only way that this can be done is to review the record. Thus this group of anointed followers of Jesus Christ, doing a work in Christendom paralleling Ezekiel's work among the Jews, were manifestly the modern-day Ezekiel, the "prophet" commissioned by Jehovah to declare the good news of God's Messianic kingdom and to give warning to Christendom." Watchtower 1972 Apr 1 pp.197-199 'They Shall Know that a Prophet Was Among Them'

What did they mean, they would know a prophet was among them.

From the Watchtower

“According to trustworthy Bible chronology six thousand years from man’s creation will end in 1975, and the seventh period of a thousand years of human history will begin in the fall of 1975 C.E.” —Life Everlasting – In Freedom of the Sons of God, 1966, p. 29

DGN, since the Watchtower claimed to be a Prophet and world did not end in 1975

Is the watchtower a true or false prophet ?

The reason the watchtower will never say when Satan's reign of terror will be defeated is because like all of us they too are on a need to know basis. Jesus said "Truly I say to YOU that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away." Mt24:34 He didn't say what he meant by generation.

I owned the following book at one time, to show JW's when they came a knocking

The title of the book is "Prophecy" written by the second president of the watchtower Judge Rutherford

This book is one of the last Watchtower publications advancing the date of 1874 A.D. on page 65

"The Scriptural proof is that the second presence of the Lord Jesus Christ began in 1874 A.D."

The Watchtower soon after this date changed the date from 1874 A.D. to 1914 A.D.

DGN has the date been changed again from the 1914 generation? If they were 10 y.o. in 1914 they are 108 now, How many JWs are 108 that understood He returned in 1914

Actually I think they are talking about the numerous stories that teach some other gospel. Like the "aliens" are our creators...etc. Nostradoomus mainly tried to predict future real events right?

Haven't a clue. Found this:
The terms Old Lights and New Lights (among others) are used in Christian circles to distinguish between two groups who were initially the same, but have come to a disagreement. These terms have been applied in a wide variety of ways, and the meaning must be determined from context. Typically, if a denomination is changing, and some refuse to change, and the denomination splits, those who did not change are referred to as the "Old Lights", and the ones who changed are referred to as the "New Lights".
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

but if they did a split, it's news to me.

Edited to add: "Haven't a clue", was referring to the new light, not Nostradamus."

"New light" has nothing to do with the date of the end of satan's reign of terror. It is the progressive understanding of the new spiritual personality Jehovah's grooms and civilizes in his international spiritual nation.
"But YOU did not learn the Christ to be so, 21 provided, indeed, that YOU heard him and were taught by means of him, just as truth is in Jesus, 22 that YOU should put away the old personality which conforms to YOUR former course of conduct and which is being corrupted according to his deceptive desires; 23 but that YOU should be made new in the force actuating YOUR mind, 24 and should put on the new personality which was created according to God’s will in true righteousness and loyalty." Ok, I didn't have a clue what it was. Still don't understand "progressive understanding of the new spiritual personality Jehovah's grooms" but the poster above had an explanation that made sense if it's correct. Maybe if Nostradamus had lived longer or had more successors, he'd have had a new light. chuckle

Oh, thought it meant "Jehovah's grooms," but it's Jehovah gooms, as in when a person learns more they get a new light....more information? Oh whatever. Doesn't matter. Just hadn't heard it.

Do not assume the end of Satan's reign of terror is coming to reward the arrogant, it isn't. It's coming to intercept nuclear genocide and save the earth, the ecosystem, and who ever does the will of God.
"Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. 38 For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; 39 and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken along and the other be abandoned; 41 two women will be grinding at the hand mill: one will be taken along and the other be abandoned. 42 Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming.
43 “But know one thing, that if the householder had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have kept awake and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 On this account YOU too prove yourselves ready, because at an hour that YOU do not think to be it, the Son of man is coming." We live in very exciting times. From the time Israel became a nation once again, we know that generation that saw it shall not pass away until all is fulfilled.

I believe that the oldest documented person lived to be 125 years old...so add 125 to 1948 and you get 2073. But I think God considers the actual founding of Israel to be 1967 during the six days war, when they got back the temple mount area, so add 125 years to 1967 and you get 2092.

Take away the seven year tribulation, and the start of the end of the world would be 2085, if my theory is correct.

Also, take the number of a man which is 666 and divide by the year 2092 and that magic holy number will be achieved which is Pi 3.14 or the measurement of a circle, as in everything comes full circle.

Edited to add: "Haven't a clue", was referring to the new light, not Nostradamus."
 Quoting: Nine's

New light comes from the book of Proverbs,

example: they no longer teach that the world's system will end in 1975

1976 arrived, nothing happen, make up an excuse why it didn't = New Light

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. Proverbs 4:18-19

Thank you. I understand the concept now. Odd though, because every failed prophet I've ever read changes things or has a reason it didn't come to pass. I didn't know it had a name.
 Quoting: Nine's

We live in very exciting times.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25512421

Oh wow. The way the world is going it seems like we'll self destruct before then.

Native Americans, circle of life, full circle, everything is circular. Still....doesn't seem we'll make it that long.

Thanks for that well thought out and well worded answer.

Do not assume the end of Satan's reign of terror is coming to reward you, it isn't. It's coming to intercept nuclear genocide and save the earth, the ecosystem, and who ever does the will of God.

 Quoting: DGN

Don't know what I said that indicated I was looking for a reward, but I wasn't. It's not coming to reward me, but whoever does the will of God? How do you know I don't do the will of God? yeahsure
 Quoting: Nine's

" “Then the kingdom of the heavens will become like ten virgins that took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were discreet. 3 For the foolish took their lamps but took no oil with them, 4 whereas the discreet took oil in their receptacles with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom was delaying, they all nodded and went to sleep. 6 Right in the middle of the night there arose a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Be on YOUR way out to meet him.’ 7 Then all those virgins rose and put their lamps in order. 8 The foolish said to the discreet, ‘Give us some of YOUR oil, because our lamps are about to go out.’ 9 The discreet answered with the words, ‘Perhaps there may not be quite enough for us and YOU. Be on YOUR way, instead, to those who sell it and buy for yourselves.’ 10 While they were going off to buy, the bridegroom arrived, and the virgins that were ready went in with him to the marriage feast; and the door was shut. 11 Afterwards the rest of the virgins also came, saying, ‘Sir, sir, open to us!’ 12 In answer he said, ‘I tell YOU the truth, I do not know YOU.’ Mt25:21

Here is the bridegroom! Be on YOUR way out to meet him.

I have already met the bridegroom in more ways than one.

Well it's just a theory backed by math and using all the available clues in the bible. But think about all that needs to happen until it can be fulfilled, like the new temple must be built, on the site of Dome of Rock, Islams 2nd holiest site, a majority must agree to take a universal id number, wars, famines, pestilences, and etc...It might take longer than many on here think. Time will tell.

Yes I do realize.

If this verse is the answer to my question about "how do you know I don't do the will of God," it seems you think that I'm being foolish and not discreet.

If that's true, I would like to know what I've done that is foolish or indiscreet so I can correct my ways.

This is what YOU need to fulfill in the last hour;
"That is also why we, from the day we heard [of it], have not ceased praying for YOU and asking that YOU may be filled with the accurate knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual comprehension, 10 in order to walk worthily of Jehovah to the end of fully pleasing [him] as YOU go on bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the accurate knowledge of God, 11 being made powerful with all power to the extent of his glorious might so as to endure fully and be long-suffering with joy, 12 thanking the Father who rendered YOU suitable for YOUR participation in the inheritance of the holy ones in the light." Col1:9
Snooze any longer,,,, you lose.

John 2:21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body.
