What if the Mayans had it right?
What if tomorrow was the galactic night?
A release from our earthly plight.
A serpent hiding in plain sight.

The thirteenth sign.
Ophiuchus will invite us and entice us,
Love us or smite us.

A dark rift beckons us,
Bringing gifts to make us swoon.
Hearts and minds will reckon thus,
Passive souls lead to ruin.

We'll stay up late and watch the Moon.
Our lives so far, just a cocoon,
On the verge of a spiritual bloom,
A knowledge boom.

Our hearts He'll consume,
And deliver us from this mighty womb,
Or He'll cast is down in a fiery tomb.

He threads the colors in this milky loom.
Sets the natural phases,
Unlocked by saints, and sages.
Energy tapped by gurus, and mages.

The wise man is patient.
Waiting, for the solstice to paint it.
His wisdom is latent.

A destiny fated.
The world prays.

What if the Mayans had it right?
Not the end of our days,
But an end to our ways.
A new age.
