BREAKING: It's not difficult to convert an engine to biodiesel and produce fuel from all sorts of sources that don't require the oil companies' help.

There's also CNG, and many other options that have been hidden. Maybe people need a kick in the ass to initiate the implementation of alternatives.

I smelt it years ago when I went to the auto electircian, it was fish and chips early in the morning so I new something was not right.
I asked the bloke how come I smell fish and chips and he told me he was working on a car that ran on used oil from the chip shop.
It was an old toyota with no adjustments made to use the f&s oil as the bloke who owned it only expected the car to last for a few months but it was 5 years later and it was still going strong. I did make me hungry though and I got some fish and chips on the way home. Might be good to strain it first before it goes in the tank and make sure you have something to eat on hand.

EMERGENCY services have been offered quarantined fuel to ensure police, paramedics and firefighters can operate in Victoria despite a diesel shortage.

Production problems last week halved the state's supply of diesel.

Many service stations sold out and stocks at others throughout the state were severely depleted.

So priority access to the state's remaining supplies has been offered to emergency services.
