The Sky in hampton georgia is orange

The beginning of Sunrise?..

im in stn mtn. only fog here

no sunrise at 4am

if its foggy all the lights from the city can be kinda reflected into the fog

its not foggy.the only thing around here is the motor speedway.Im up alot at night never seen it look this way.almost looks like a full moon nightt.but its not..and for some reason no fog that i can see.if it was normal i would not be posting about it.thanks

Depending on where you live on earth, you might see the sky turn orange....normally while is going down, at sun down. It's basically a reflection of the outer rim of the the sun's spectrum hitting the earth at a particular angle over the surface of the earth where you happen to be looking at the sky, as the earth rotates away from it.

Sunlight contains all the colors of the rainbow. Particles floating in the air scatter some of the light (usually blue/violet) which is why the sky looks blue. During the early morning (and early evening) the light has to pass through more atmosphere to reach your eyes. The blue/violet has already been scattered away. The longer wavelengths (red and orange) are the ones that get through so that is why the sky is orange during sunrise.

You say its night, well if its wery early in the morning, then perhaps a few hours away in distance the sun rises, and then the light have to curve around and through alot more atmosphere,clouds etc.

Been wondering allso when i see orange sky, in some cases it really is light polution from the city though.

Tonight the sky is not orange.I knew I wasn't crazy the other day.It lasted for 2 days in a Row though.
