Thanks DoorBert, Syria and Iran are "joined at the hip" so to speak. Iran cannot allow Syria (Hezbollah/Hamas) to go down.
Quoting: roadrunnerray heard they used to have very close and good relationships before. it would be domino style when syria ally falls and thus fails to help iran.
