Reverse Shilling

Did anyone ever stop to think that perhaps all of the "reports" of big booms, shaking, rattling, huge booms, etc, is a severe campaign of reverse shilling?

Think about it from two applications:

1.) A psychological study of a well publicized and monetized end of the world prophecy. Millions has been spent by preppers, and people who want the world to end on books, videos, seminars and more regarding the Mayan prophecy about 12/21/2012. Those individuals are likely scam artists trying to make a quick buck and cash out after the date passes with no activity. Include a well-planned campaign to disinform the populace using forums like GLP, and others, and collect the research data results.

2.) A campaign organized to instill fear in the population using websites such as this one, touting messages of earthquakes, strange sounds from the sky, weird events increasing in number as we approach this date. In my opinion, it has been proven that the Timewave Zero theory, while an interesting study in itself, is nothing if not false. Drops and spikes have passed without any significant events occurring in tandem with the purported "novelty" expectations. However, leverage a group of shills in order to continue pushing this, and continue to push the fear agenda for a few possible reasons:

- a.) An event IS coming within a few years. Push the 2012 nonsense to desensitize and enrage people when nothing happens. Then when an actual cataclysm occurs people will be completely unprepared thinking "Oh, that 2012 stuff was BS, it's all BS.
