Where are the bugs..?
Out of control...?
Too much control..?

This article tells us something...
We should listen..

We must have industrialized farming or less people.
Pesticides are a big part of that.
We will have a large drop in population if the
imbalance with nature continues..
And... it will... because it has to.

Cornstalks Everywhere But Nothing Else, Not Even A Bee

[snip]

We'll start in a cornfield — we'll call it an Iowa cornfield in late summer — on a beautiful day.
The corn is high. The air is shimmering.
There's just one thing missing — and it's a big thing...

...a very big thing, but I won't tell you what, not yet.

Re: Where are the bugs..?
Extremely interesting -though terrifyingly sad- article.

excerpt:

"...Yet, 100 years ago, these same fields, these prairies, were home to 300 species of plants, 60 mammals, 300 birds, hundreds and hundreds of insects. This soil was the richest, the loamiest in the state. And now, in these patches, there is almost literally nothing but one kind of living thing. We've erased everything else."

Re: Where are the bugs..?
i have seen first hand the good that pesticides can do.

not saying we have a right to pollute the planet into oblivion but-

we also cannot ignore the damage & disease spread by pestilence.

a balance can be struck.

Its our fault we beg for our comfy convenient lives and the living planets destruction is how we achieve it- . You got a computer? You are 100% part of the problem, along with me and everyone else.
