If this is true and the best and brightest of the country the United States funds itself proudly off heroin and opium shipped to itself, then how could anyone be "proud" to live there unless they are mafia/drug addicts???

If the people are so proud of their religion there as opposed to other countries whose religion STOPS heroin trade as a policy, then why are the people not up in arms about drug dealers running their country on purpose and allowing the vote to have them outside and above the law or over sight stand?Why isn't everyone not writing and calling who they voted in demanding they dismantle this CIA drug trafficking system or investigate if it is this indeed.

It's actually funny that you guys brought up the, "Marijuana: Food or Not Food" debate in the Iranian thread. :) In Iran, it's actually not technically illegal to have or to grow marijuana plants, as long as you use it for food. Hemp products are relatively commonplace, hemp seeds are dying out in popularity but used to be kinda common as food, at least when I lived there as a kid a long time ago. Some of the deserts have it. So yeah, it's totally food, at least for some Persians / Iranians. Weed isn't illegal any more in small amounts, drug officers aren't checking for weed, they are looking for opium and heroin.

Like opium for example? Opium is a natural plant product from poppies. So is morphine and codeine. Or aspirin, it comes from willow trees.
