i was indeed a "Christian Orthodox" (though im not russian nor lived there) until it failed to answer my prayers countless times (i even dont talk about the lack of logic) and left it and all religions for very long time (over 20 years). Indeed praying to Mary (as) or to the Saints (as) or to Jesus (as) wasnt the good way, thus no prayer was answered, i had to ask God and Him only but i didnt know at that time,i was a brainwashed christian.

Then God brought me to Islam which was indeed more than a religion, a way of life, the path of Truth. Truth is always opressed, this is how you recognize it. In Islam i pray only to God, and imams arent priests/cardinals/popes/whatever to whom you confess your sins and ask forgiveness for they are no better than you (no status in Islam except : believer), just more knowledgeable (scholars).
