he was the first to map the moon.
he played the glockenspeil better than any man on earth
he had a great life and shared it with us all

I grew up with Patrick Moore, he was way beyond cool, he was wonderful, and opened the minds of millions of kids to the wonders of the universe, he was a grey haired old geezer back in the 60's when I used to watch him.
He had a good innings and will be missed by millions, hope to see you in the heavens Mr Moore, I bet he is in Astronomer paradise now,all his questions answered, a wonderful guy.
