Data from NASA's Voyager 1 spacecraft indicate that the venerable deep-space explorer has encountered a region in space where the intensity of charged particles from beyond our solar system has markedly increased. Voyager scientists looking at this rapid rise draw closer to an inevitable but historic conclusion - that humanity's first emissary to interstellar space is on the edge of our solar system.

"The latest data indicate that we are clearly in a new region where things are changing more quickly. It is very exciting. We are approaching the solar system's frontier."

This marked increase is one of a triad of data sets which need to make significant swings of the needle to indicate a new era in space exploration. The second important measure from the spacecraft's two telescopes is the intensity of energetic particles generated inside the heliosphere, the bubble of charged particles the Sun blows around itself.

IBEX’s novel imaging technique has unleashed one surprise after another. Now principal investigator David McComas (Southwest Research Institute) and 10 colleagues have turned IBEX's attention to the Sun's motion through space. It turns out that the Sun is moving through interstellar gas at 52,000 miles (84,000 km) per hour, about 12% slower than previously measured by the Ulysses spacecraft.

So what does the new model look like? IBEX's observations confirm that the Sun is still moving (albeit slowly) through the Local Interstellar Cloud, a fluff of higher density gas roughly 30 light-years across. Combined with a relatively strong interstellar magnetic field, the Sun's slower advance is no longer enough to push interstellar gas into a bow shock. At best, it makes a "bow wave," a region of slightly increased density — more like a fast-moving boat than a fighter jet. This means a significant change in how scientists think about the Sun and its interaction with the stuff beyond its influence.

"It's too early to say exactly what this new data means for our heliosphere. Decades of research have explored scenarios that included a bow shock. That research now has to be redone using the latest data," says McComas.

"Observations of a few astrospheres have shown bow shocks around those stars, but IBEX has shown that our star has a fundamentally different environment surrounding it," says Christina Prested (Boston University), an IBEX scientist not involved in the published study. "These results are very exciting as we can now definitively say what it's like in the neighborhood of our solar system."

Sorry I haven't been around much. My personal life has taken another turn south and I'm just trying to keep things going. Its been rough.

Anyway, I'll give a couple bullet points.

1. We ARE in the cloud, and have been for at least a couple decades or more. It is the dense plasma columns (that can be light years wide/long that are the concern. Energetic solar wide increases have been witnessed over and over in ALL of the planets and their own systems. Although I don't prescribe fully to Hoagland, his research work called Day After Tomorrow shows the scientific evidence of this.

2. There is no declassified information out there that says the dense aspects of the plasma clouds have penetrated our system. Circumsttantial evidence abounds, as well as scientific papers, most notably by Priscilla Frisch, shows that the denser cloud columns were/are on their way, AND THEY DO CHANGE THE CLIMATOLOGY OF ALL PLANETS, AND ALSO LINK TO EVOLUTIONARY CHANGES IN EARTHS LIFEFORMS. This part is generated from matching geological/bioogical and ice core samples with the timing of the clouds.

3. GLP was 'warned' by Boeing Guy that certain strange things will be seen. One of those were the increase in solar filaments that were extremely rare. That was directly from Wikipedia, but since then, they have rewritten that and took out how rare they are, as now they are quite common.

4. The plasma clouds are usually kept outside of the solar system by the sun's magnetic field (solar winds). When we enter these clouds, the heliosphere shrinks, and as such, all the planets get closer to interstellar space. That allows more cosmic rays into the solar system. But, when we hit denser plasma cloud columns, they can get through the heliosphere. These dense plasma areas are highly conductive, and can be seen by there powerful magnetic fields. That is what IBEX saw...the magnetic ribbon. The last update from NASA via IBEX was that the magnetic ribbon had a large 'knot' associated with it...and that knot is untying. IMO, that would be because of its interaction with the heliopause (boundary). I have a post on this that I'll have to dig up. It was called RIDING THE INTERFACE ZONE. What happens is when/if the dense plasma columns get through the heliosphere and enter our solar system, it magnifies the conductive medium of space. Maybe like being completely submerged (for hundreds/thousands of years) in a magnetic flux tube like environment. Basically, linking up electrical charges that are emitted from the sun (excited particles) and producing a constant connection ALL OVER THE SOLAR SYSTEM with plasma exchange, with the sun being the generator. This is the part that can be theorized, but holds highly logical arguments. This is also the part where Xenus' work on petroglyphs comes in and has been proven, IMO, that this phenom actually does occur. See the research by the foremost scientist on plasma physics, Dr. Anthony Perrat, of Los Alamos and Jet Propulsion Labs.

Humans evolved when the Sun was in the great void of the Local Bubble. The Sun entered the present environment of interstellar clouds only during the late Quaternary. Astronomical data reveal these long and short term changes in our galactic environment. Theoretical models then tell us how these changes affect interplanetary particles, planetary magnetospheres, and the Earth itself. I just happened to come across this tidbit of information which points to that EXACT spot IBEX has identified as being the entry point of the interstellar wind.

Astrologers, or those interested in the historical development of astrology, will point out that some systems include a thirteenth sign of the zodiac known as Ophiuchus Serpentarius, the Serpent Holder. This constellation lies between Sagittarius and Libra, somewhat over Scorpio. In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries this constellation was called Alpheichius. Known as the "God of Invocation", this house was named after the legendary healer, Ophiuchus (Asclepius). The two serpents in his hands later replaced the twin ribbons around the caduceus which became a symbol for physicians. Plato called this thirteenth sign "the god of the underworld".

Conclusion:
The situation that has been created here in our Heliosphere is of external, Interstellar, cosmic space origin,and is herein assumed to be caused by the underlying fundamental auto-oscillation, space-physical, processes of continuous creation that has shaped, and continues to evolve our Universe. The present excited state of our Heliosphere exists within the whole, or entire, organism that makes up the Solar System; the Sun, Planets, Moons, Comets, and Asteroids, as well as the plasmas, and/or electromagnetic mediums, and structures, of Interplanetary Space. The response to these Interstellar energy and matter injections into our Heliosphere has been, and continues to be, a series of newly observed energetic processes and formations on all of the Planets; between the Planets and their Moons, and the Planets and the Sun.

Earth's ability to adapt to these external actions and transference's is aggravated, made more difficult, by the technogeneous alterations we have made to the natural quality, or state, of our geological-geophysical environment. Our Planet Earth is now in the process of a dramatic transformation;by altering the electromagnetic skeleton through a shift of the geomagnetic field poles, and through compositional changes in the ozone, and hydrogen, saturation levels of its gas-plasma envelopes.

These changes in the Earth's physical state are being accompanied by resultant climatic/atmospheric, and biospheric, adaptation processes. These processes are becoming more and more intense, and frequent, as evidenced by the real time increase in "non-periodic transient events"; ie., catastrophes. There are reasons favoring, or pointing to, the fact that a growth in the ethical, or spiritual quality, of humanity would decrease the number and intensity of complex catastrophes. It has become vitally important that a world chart be prepared setting forth the favorable, and the catastrophic, regions on Earth taking into account the quality of the geologic-geophysical environment, the variety and intensity of cosmic influences, and the real level of spiritual-ethical development of the people occupying those areas.

It is reasonable to point out that our Planet will soon be experiencing these new conditions of growing energy signifying the transition into a new state and quality of Space-Earth relationship. The living organisms of those regions of Earth having the major "inlets", or attractions, for cosmic influences will be taking the lead in evolving life's appropriate reactions, or processes, to these new conditions. These zones of vertical commutations and energy transfers are already becoming the heart, or hotbeds, in the search for new systems of adaptation and mutual transformation.

The most significant of these areas are the helio-sensitive zones which have intense responses to geoeffective solar activities [Note #1]; responses that include the very dramatic and unusual manifestation of non-homogeneous vacuum, or classical non-mechanical ether, domain structures. These structures, or objects, then interact with the heliosensitive zones producing deep and powerful effects upon the environment such as the alteration of seismic activities, and chemical compositions. Because these non-homogeneous vacuum domain objects display not-of-this-physical-world characteristics such as "liquid light" and "non-Newtonian movement" it is difficult not to describe their manifestations as being "interworld processes". It is important to note that those heliosensitive zones that exhibit middle and large scale processes are also those that are closely associated with these "interworld processes" produced by physical vacuum homogeneity disturbances.

Such disturbances cause, and create, energy and matter transfer processes between the ether media and our three-dimensional world. The multitude of such phenomena, which is rich in it's quality and variety, is already growing quickly. Hundreds of thousands of these natural self-luminous formations are exerting a increasing influence upon Earth's geophysic fields and biosphere. We suggest that the presence of these formations is the mainstream precedent to the transformation of Earth; an Earth which becomes more and more subject to the transitional physical processes which exist within the borderland between the physical vacuum and our material world.

All of this places humanity, and each one of us, squarely in front of a very difficult and topical problem; the creation of a revolutionary advancement in knowledge which will require a transformation of our thinking and being equal to this never-before-seen phenomena now presencing itself in our world. There is no other path to the future than a profound internal experiential perception and knowledge of the events now underway in the natural environment that surrounds us. It is only through this understanding that humanity will achieve balance with the renewing flow of the PlanetoPhysical States and Processes.

ABSTRACT

The interaction of the heliosphere with interstellar clouds has attracted interest since the late 1920s, with a view to explaining apparent both quasi-periodic climate "catastrophes" as well as periodic mass extinctions. Until recently, however, models describing the solar windÈlocal interstellar medium (LISM)interaction self-consistently had not been developed. Here we describe the results of a two-dimensional simulation of the interaction between the heliosphere and an interstellar cloud with the same properties as currently, except that the H0 density is increased from the present value of n(H0)D0.2 cm~3 to 10 cm~3. The mutual interaction of interstellar neutral hydrogen and plasma is included. The heliospheric cavity is reduced considerably in size (approximately 10È14 AU to the termination shock in the
upstream direction) and is highly dynamical. The interplanetary environment at the orbit of the Earth changes markedly, with the density of interstellar H0 increasing to D2 cm~3. The termination shock itself experiences periods where it disappears, reforms, and disappears again. Considerable mixing of the shocked solar wind and LISM occurs because of Rayleigh-TaylorÈlike instabilities at the nose, driven by ion-neutral friction. Implications of two anomalously high concentrations of 10Be found in Antarctic ice cores, corresponding to 33,000 and 60,000 yr ago, and the absence of prior similar events are discussed in terms of density enhancements in the surrounding interstellar cloud. The calculation presented here supports past speculation that the Galactic environment of the Sun moderates the interplanetary
environment at the orbit of the Earth and possibly also the terrestrial climate.
