Rumbling sound in W Mich

I live on west side of Michigan. Over the past year frequently I have heard a rumble day or night that sounds similar to diesel motor or like underground river. It always is a distant, hard to trace, direction type sound. It can wake me from sleep. Anyone else hear this?
