Let me be clear. I AM totally against them and they data recording does not belong on a private individual's possessions. But I'm more worried about speeding tickets and other infractions so I maintain my wits about me when driving. Paying higher insurance rates because of stop sign running and not using a blinker is more burdensome than any data anybody gets out of my black box. All the accidents I've been involved in since I've been driving(4) have been the other drivers fault. 2 of those didn't have insurance and I took a total loss on the incidents so a black box wouldn't have mattered anyway. To protect myself, I quit buying new cars and relish driving the older vehicles that actually have solid metal all around instead of crumple zones and airbags. Well, that's my thought about the whole black box issue, for what they are worth! |
