I had to willfully pull myself from the instinct of being selfish, that is, only thinking about my hurrying self. Damn we feel so immune and mighty in our cars. Thought provoking write up. Thanks. |

A world without risk, disease, injury or death. A world where everyone gets along (no vanity, conceit, pride or greed–and no mean people). Imagine everything you need is provided instantly. As a result you sometimes get kinda bored with your life, so you pop-in at The Universe Travel Agency. On the walls are posters of vacation spots that promise exciting adventures. The more you look at them, the more excited you get. As you mull your options, a travel agent comes up to you and says, “May I help you?” You say, “Yes, I’m bored. I need adventure, challenge, excitement. I want a wild vacation on another world, away from here, way out there.” “I know what you mean,” says the agent. “Which adventure poster interests you?” “This one looks good. I want to go THERE!”.......... continued..... [link to ttbraun.blogspot.ca] |

If they are suffering, I will not enjoy it. Make sense? |

How do you know that suffering in this life is just so that we can REALLY appreciate our real lives.....I don't know for certain but doesn't it makes sense, given that physics shows that material is really just mind, that this is just a "school". We are here to learn? We should have compassion for who suffer, yes. We should be good to one another, yes. But as the Buddha says Have compassion for all beings, rich and poor alike; each has their suffering. Some suffer too much, others too little. "Have compassion for all beings, rich and poor alike; some suffer too much, others too little" What does this mean to you. I think I know what it means to me. |

For all my life i have went through the same things that you described in this thread and it has just all came to a standstill, and Yes, there has to be meaning to it all or i have wasted my whole life feeling this way, which i can't nor will ever believe has been a waste. Not for all the mistakes, different roads, bridges that have been crossed.:) It's so nice to see you again also.... |

Then, after accepting it as error, you can correct your way and walk a better path. Embracing everything is easy when you can see the awe in everything. Letting go of mistakes is hard, especially when the selfish heart finds excuses to miss things. Life truly is beautiful. |

So very beautiful and it's the smallest of things that bring the ultimate joy like a certain smell that takes you into your past and sends you into a memory, which in turn sparks a happiness and makes your day, or a song that you hear that takes over every cell in your body and transforms it into light. Words that you hear that let you know that you are not alone, and that there is someone out there that knows so much of what you feel, and that moment you don't feel so separated from everything around you.... the little things that take you to something wonderful, that's what it's all about. All else can fade but beauty in the most minute forms is the true feeling that my heart has always fell for, and always will. |
