I just read the Chronicles of Akakor, the translation of an ancient South American jungle tribe's history of its people, and there it was again.
They describe in clear detail 2 earth cataclysms where they were nearly wiped out. In stunning detail they describe the red star with a long tail that engulfed earth and made the waters rise.
Keep in mind that this tribe was unmolested by colonial expansion until the 1960's.
