The Ice Age is coming!
awesome Thread [link to westernusawx.info]

"I don't expect much interest in this, but I will try to qualitatively prove/give evidence to the fact that:

1) The GLAAM/AAM is driven by the RATE of change between solar cycles in value (hence atmospheric circulation, ENSO, etc)
2) That the AMO/NAO, PDO/NPI, & SSTs resulting from global atmospheric circulation changes are driven by the SAME DISRUPTOR.
3) That the radiative greenhouse effect is completely misunderstood.
4) That there is an unknown mis-step in the modeling
5) That the next full blown ice age could be on our doorstep.

I feel the NH, and much of the globe in general is in for the biggest wake-up call ever given by mother nature, and it won't be pretty, but being aware of the incoming will provide an advantage over those who are not. With the early waves resonating from the heapheads behind the IPCC AR5 report, already coming out in mini press-releases, there are astoundingly false assertions being made in terms of the radiative budget which in fact hold NO physical reality...if there isn't fraud involved this time then I don't know how anyone could believe it

With the Sun being so weak right now, and (whether or not it is related) the timeframe for the magnetic impulse lag ending in APR 2012, what will begin in late 2013 will be preceded by continuous wild temp/system fluctuations from now well into 2013...before the steady cooling that will temporarily follow....before an ABRUPT cooling of the globe begins once the barely detectable Solar Cycle 25 reaches max...the Sun will not be strong enough to reverse it's polarity this time...which will keep us in a Northerly directional IMF...which on it's own means nothing, it happens every other solar cycle. The problem this time is, unlike what was seen after the MWP, aside from slight differences in orbital eccenticity, insolation is not in the same state it was then, nor during the end of the RWP. There was no immediate Grand Minimum following the Grand Maximum. Abrupt climate change occurs when the system is forced to cross an "unfamiliar" threshold, one that does not allow the same atmospheric circulation regime to sustain in ability...which means that, if the Solar Cycles do shut down after this cycle, the Earth could either come close to, or surpass the perturbation threshold that has held us in the Holocene interglacial. Orbital Cycles are not the 'single heavy-hand forcing' in deterining when and how long our interglacial periods last...the perturbation threshold, involving external forcing vs the trending relative interal state, is what determines whether or not we cross the threshold MADE AVAILABLE by orbital cycles, orbital cycles are NOT what directly cause us to plunge into Ice ages. The fact that our current orbital eccentricity is not in of itself supportive of an ice age means nothing on it's own."

Lots of condensed graphs and text, but well worth a popcorn and a cuppa for a few hours read
