That may have happened, and the nurse may have had other issues also, BUT, what right do we have to assume anything?
People can lose their jobs over stupid stunts like this. In this case it has turned out much, much worse.
Now we see the DJ's blubbering on the news, telling us how sorry they are.
Well it's all a bit late.
There used to be laws against nuisance callers if you could catch the perpetrators.
Well in this case we know who made the call.
If they broke the law - Let the Laws be enforced!
It won't bring the lady back, BUT, it may assist with some sort of closure for the family.
It may also make other people in the media a little more reflective before they do such things.
Practical jokes are stupid and they usually have unintended consequences!
This is a very sad tragedy!

And yes, I hold the DJ's fully accountable for the prank which led to this awful mess. Pranks even in the private sector frequently end up in disaster. It's not at all funny.
