That the displacement of our cultures and technology are so far between, that we look like zoo animals.

The fact that ET will be intergalactic, they wont even flinch when they see our space station and satellites.

To our dismay and lack of exploration to make factual evidence that our kind is rare, ET comes across planetary systems like ours on a daily basis, like how we come across slightly different species of birds or whatever.

ET can make quick classifications of our presence from afar without even landing on our planet, let alone even bothering to enter our solar system unless they require some kind of resource that suits them.

I just fear, as we see in nature, that we will only be observed and catalogued, like we interpret a single cell organism, only respecting its role in nature, but never socially relating with it on any level. I just feel, we are too insignificant..
