Isn't this the vehicle that corresponds with a prediction (Ed Dames?) that if this vehicle is forced down then the killshot is right around the corner?

Something like that, anyway. (sorry)
 Quoting: Serendipitous

Yes, "space shuttle/plane" forced down by space rocks, plus Korean nuke test, as temporal markers for solar killshot.
 Quoting: TheTruthWorker

"by space rocks"...well, isn't that interesting. I sure hope that damned thing stays in the air. As for the Korean nuke test - who knows when they'll do what over there. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

If this , by any chance , does come close to us it would burn up. Why is this pinned ??
 Quoting: KartAnimal29

That doesn't even make sense. Then why do tiny tiny meteors and such end up lighting up the entire sky falling to earth???.............
 Quoting: AddictedToInfo

Also, we don't ALways know what these things are entirely made up of.... some could be super dense materials earth has never seen and None of it could burn up.... It's just ignorant to make a comment such as yours with absolute certainty. That is all...

So, an asteroid is discovered on the 9th and will come by on the 11th... that's only 3 days notice.

Who's to say a bigger and more devastating one won't show up before the 21st (or sometime soon)? All of these scientists who say that if something were coming to destroy us that we would see it by now are full of it...it could happen, despite what they say - they don't know everything.

By the way, I also saw the flash last night (it was like lightning in a clear sky).

We have an average of 4 or 5 NEO's making close approach to Earth every day. However on December 21, 2012 there is currently only one know NEO approaching on that day... asteroid 2002 AU4:

2012 XE54 was discovered yesterday on December 9th.
It is a small 36 meter Apollo class near earth object.
It makes it's close approach between Earth and Moon...

Earth --- 2012-Dec-11 --- 10:08 UTC --- 0.0015 AU / .6 LD
Moon --- 2012-Dec-11 --- 16:52 UTC --- 0.0021 AU

It will pass through the Earth's shadow, a very rare event.

According to JPL Horizons data, previous close approaches were:

1982-Nov-11 --- 0.4910 AU
1991-Apr-14 --- 0.2563 AU
2002-Feb-22 --- 0.1752 AU
2012-Dec-11 --- 0.0015 AU (next)

Read this, it´s from 2009!!!

US-Millitary Fireball/NEO-SAT censorship!!!!

For decades, these spacecraft have picked up incoming invaders in our air space. And over time, the scientific community has been given selected, declassified blasts of bolide (meteor) data from those satellites. It's all valuable information for space rock hounds who would go search for meteorites, and it's also useful to astronomers who aim to gauge the Near Earth Object (NEO) impact hazard posed by larger and less frequent asteroids.

But then the word from scientists was that the space rock data sharing was being short-circuited by the U.S. military. The initial story about that controversial decision has touched off talk within civilian and military circles and in Congress.

Whether it's Asteroid whizing or 21 December 2012, all of us want something to happen. But nothing happens.
1 We want change
2 We expect some sensational devastation--but not of us

We expected something to happen during London Olympics.

NOTHING WILL HAPPEN EVER.

WHAT SHALL WE DO NOW?

The only sensational news, conspiracy news etc we can wish to have is about ETs. Knowing for certain that there is extraterrestrial life is needed. Some contact with living beings--if they are--on the Moon, Mars, Jupiter or other planets--we pant for this news. This should happen during our lifetime.

If all efforts are directed--through dialog, discussion, coaxing scientists, etc to get this info out... the work is done.

So let's once and for all forget world's destruction, illuminati, New World Order, etc etc, and concentrate on one thing--seeking news from NASA etc about ETs. Why waste time on false things like 21 dec?

So since this is a condtion 7 asteroid meaning they are not sure of the trajectory, what part of the world would this thing impact? I am at work so can't do that calculations. Would it be a North America hit, Europe, Asia, Southern Hemisphere?

My understanding is that London may be able to see it pretty clearly. The east coast - maybe. So that tells me it'd be either around London or the Atlantic if there was going to be any fallout. Showtime in T minus 3 hours and 30 mins.

I didn't do the calculations myself, for either the time or the place. This is from another thread. I haven't seen anything factual.

I don't think anyone really knows for sure. Not anyone in the general populace without a telescope anyhow.

Personally, I'm not as worried about an impact from this as I am about potential earthquakes.

Your arrogant "NOTHING WILL HAPPEN EVER" statement discredits everything that was stated afterwards. If that was true then the many wars in the past would have never happened, the extinction event that killed the dinosaurs would not have happened, and the many other drastic changes to our earth would have never happened. Just because it hasn't happened in your lifetime doesn't mean it won't.

It just sounds like to me that keeping up with all this information is far too difficult for you. You would rather wait hand and foot on NASA discoveries to be spoon fed to you.

36 meters is not that small. 118 feet, about the size of a 12 story building
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17040466

That's dinky in the world of asteroids. It likely wouldn't even penatrate though out atmosphere, and even if it did what survived would be a small fraction of it's original size.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22705145

Did you take a look at the video over Texas posted in an earlier post.. the announcer said they figured that was the size of a basketball... this one is many time that size.. If it comes into our atmosphere it would be a spectacular flash seen by millions of people. Hopefully not a tanguska type flash.

DAMN! There have been a LOT of these lately that were discovered like a week or less before they "whiz by" earth. This one is close. VERY CLOSE. Pray that NOTHING disturbs it's projected orbit between now and the time it passes between the moon and earth (see, I told you it was close!)
