Salt is salt. I bet some of you are dummies that pay out the ass for hoity-toity "unprocessed" salt sold to gullible fools, like most other "health foods".

It's ok not everyone can eat healthy!! Someone has to buy that crap

I buy the himalayan sea salt for less than $3/250grams. It's not expensive.
 Quoting: Person445

You call $6 for a few grams over a pound of salt "not expensive"?

A 3 pound box of Morton Coarse Kosher salt goes for $1.94 at Walmart.

Keeping healthy means you don't get sick. Health comes from nutrition.

I think it's organic, local? No idea. It's called Better Than Boullion I believe? Really, I am too lazy to go to the kitchen and see right now. They sell this stuff in good grocery stores. Not bad sodium, about 300 or so mgs. per serving and there are no funky ingredients in there that you can't identify of need a science background to decipher. Just plain old organic chicken, veggies, water and sea salt.

No, health does not only come from nutrition it also comes from your surroundings. And the BIGGEST factor is your mind. So if you are convincing all these people that what they eat is so bad for them and is worse than killing children and will give them all kinds of diseases, then they will feel bad for eating these things and their mind will harm them that way. Our bodies are great at adaptation. Some more than others.

Believe it or not, there are FAR more PRESSING issues in this world today. You're just another one of those people who will distract others from those pressing issues.

I'm sorry, you seem to be confused with thinking that eating shit will somehow not make it shit, as long as you THINK it isn't shit. Nutrition is definitely important to your health, but placebo can't save you all the time.

Also, american obesity is become a "pressing issue" very quickly, and you're telling me their diet has no part in this?
We were meant to live for so much more, have we lost ourselves?

Health comes from a strong immunity. The immune system requires nutrition.

The major battle in the body is immunity vs. toxicity.

Nutrition must be high and toxicity levels low.

I cite doctors and medical research. You cite nothing.

Corporations are about profit. Healthy products cost more to produce. Corporations will NEVER produce a healthy product unless we demand them and boycott corporations that don't get on board.

The health of our children is not a priority? The poisoning of the Earth is not a priority? It's all part-and-parcel.

You are missing the bigger picture.

Thanks for this! I really need to start making my own beans since I eat so many of them. They're probably my main source of protein. Also I started juicing about 2 weeks ago and I can't believe how much energy I have now. I feel like a million bucks! :)

Oh one question - so the kimchi I buy at the asian grocery store isn't good for me? I'm confused about that part.

Truth of the matter is, you are right about the OP being right, the OP is right but I am right too.

Your stance is ideological and not rooted in reality. Whereas I tend to stick to reality.

Didn't your parents try to fight the evil corporations and didn't they have a big movement in the 70s that was all hippy dippy nature loving bullcrap? How'd that end out for them? Don't most of those moms and dads end up working for big corporations, completely disillusioned, because what they held as ideology was simply not feasable to achieve in reality?

If anything this kind of stuff the OP presents is basically viral marketing for "natural brands" "green brands" etc. That's the point we have reached in this world today. If you can't see it, enjoy being had while I enjoy what little time I've been given on this planet while eating unhealthy foods in moderation.

If the apple is grown in nutrient-depleted soil, where does the apple get its nutrition from? The Moon? Fairies? Jesus Christ?

It's simple. Mass-produced apples are grown by large corporations, which save money at all costs. This includes producing a less healthy apple. It cost money to nutrify soil and costs a lot to become organic.

But..

You refuse to read for yourself and want everything spoonfed to you.

I'm done with you and the Dutchman.

Re: Top 10 Packaged Foods You Should NOT Buy!
...

It's a common misconception that ORGANIC food is more expensive..

The de-nutrification of foods in all products including fruits and vegetables is startling. It may look like an apple, but there's very little apple inside.

As such the body is always hungry and we eat more.. and more. This is why America is the most obese country, their food is garbage.

If you buy WHOLE ORGANIC foods, your body will be full.

Don't believe me? Try it for a week... 100% ALL ORGANIC.. and you won't believe how little you crave food. The body wants nutrition and about 2000 calories a day... however if the nutrition isn't there it will gladly pack in 5000 calories a day.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to do the math... if a GMO apple costs 50cents and an organic apple costs 80cents, but keeps you full for twice as long.. then in fact it is cheaper.

Now when you consider this, consider how little you'll be paying doctors.. as you'll never be sick.

Also I spoke with Bruno Comby who is considered to be one of the smartest people in the world and has graduated from the highest school in Europe (Ecole Polytechnique). He explains everything you need to know about the basics of good health in this video:

Yeah I will second this statement. Its way cheaper to eat fresh produce then processed food. I'm also going to recommend vegetarianism also cheaper then eating meat. I think the problem is that you need to know how to cook, and many people don't know how. Eating raw is excellent too, but that gets to be a little extreme for people.

I recommend getting a centrifugal hard-vegetable juicer these are available at thrift stores for 5-10$. When I buy vegetables for the juicer I don't even think about it that much I just buy whatever looks like it will fit in there and has allot of juice. Carrots are a really good place to start.

I also recommend getting a blender and eating smoothies, esp banana and berry smoothies. Mix your whey protein and molecularly distilled fish-oil into the berry smoothie and you will be well on your way to major health benefits.

The heat-generated (friction) with a centrifugal juicer kills about 80% of the micronutrients. While this is an excellent start, a proper cold-press juicer would be the long-term solution.

Nutri-Bullet works great...and keeping the fiber in helps you feel full...unlike juicing.
My juicer is gathering dust right now....Nutri-Bullet is much better for every day use.

...and heat friction??...come on! thwak crazy

i had a look at the nutri bullet. there were a lot 5 star reviews on amazon but also a lot of 1 star reviews (leakage, leafy veg getting stuck under the blades, a thick consistency). can you give me your view on it before i buy one? thanks
