5 Strange but true home remedies.
These are all easily obtainable foods, oils or spices.

Worth a look.

And remember, search yourself and find out what works for you. These are all simple and most inexpensive.

I use about 1/2 a teasponn of cold pressed organic coco oil in my coffee with a little butter. Really calms the stomach and ends food cravings for some time during the day. :)

Re: 5 Strange but true home remedies.
Just a couple of reminders: Those with type O blood should ingest coconut oil with caution as it can trigger an autoimmune response. Dr. D'Adamo (the blood type author) warns of this in his books. I am an O who cannot ingest it.

Sodium bicarb (baking soda) shouldn't be ingested over long periods of time without being cognizant of the fact that it is a SALT. As such, it can induce hypertension and other cardiovascular problems. (I know a guy who took it daily for gout prevention, only to suffer a TIA.)

Re: 5 Strange but true home remedies.
Only very little coconut oil can be made from cold-pressing, and often solvents are used to liquidize it.

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

Also hydrogenation is used to make it liquid. The problem with solvents and hydrogenation is that they produce unhealthy trans fats.

Don't believe ads of "organic coconut oil". They contains mostly trans fats and solvents. Prefer natural coconut fat instead. It is cheaper and has no trans fat and added chemicals, and it's great for cooking.
