The power button has no effect, it's like overnight the thing just stopped working. INTERESTING TO NOTE: I hit "Hibernate," and the computer turned itself back on out of hibernate. I shut it down, and unplugged it from the power source to give it a rest, if you will. So for the first time, the computer wasn't charging overnight. But that has no relevance to why it won't turn on - the power source being plugged in right now means it should work no matter what. Something fried while the computer was just sitting there. This has happened to me at least 6 time, as I was saying - this shit always breaks |

Truth be told Intel technology is of Area-51. the intel core I7 got it's name as a tribute to the great coordinator of the illuminati. Illuminatus 7. one of the last Original Gray's that made a pact with the illuminatis. Alienware is crap, it overclocked on factory. and it's poorly optimised. the primary rule of overclocking is to avoid high thermal temperatures. Too high voltage = Generate more heat and High heat = Kills hardware fast. So i would actually say those alienware are the biggest ripoff on the market... Why? because they sell you crap hardware, that is poorly overclocked. It's like paying the apple tax and buying something you know is going to break. To live is to believe in the power of dreams! No doubt you bought the unit thinking is would work well for film scoring and you would not need as much outboard but you learned the hard way that the platform itself will not survive the heavy taxing of the processor and video card. Why anyone would even attempt to score on a laptop as a main controller is beyond me. |

(final Fsb) 4 x 2 megs L2 cache 1 x 8 megs l3 cache memory. 4 pairs of processors. 1-2 /3-4 /5-6 /7-8. option to disable one core on each pairs. uses only 1-3-5-7.
