I thought the same thing. But why the fuck do buyers need positive feedback? Sellers need it for customers to trust buying off them...

I had a seller take my payment $$ and close their E-bay account. Thank God for buyer protection!

I always leave feedback as soon as I receive payment.

I am not a business on there but a normal person selling a few things here and there. It really irritates me that I go through and ship stuff out to them on time and keep my word on everything as I'm supposed to do and even leave them feedback almost immediately only to have them never leave anything for me. I count on those for a good seller's reputation yet they are too lazy to get off (on rather) their ass and post a few words. Hell, your computer will save the same thing for you all you have to do is type one letter and let auto-fill do the work for you.

So to you who thinks its a seller's responsibility to leave feedback for you, fuck off. Seller reputation is much more important than buyer reputation for the small time guys. But aren't we all just crying about spilt milk anyway. In the end I guess it really has little to no effect. It still pisses me off though.

I confess. I am one of those lazy asses who only post when I have a complaint. I do think the sellers should make sure they drug test thier packing guys so they won't be tempted to "take out their frustrations" on a fully bubble wrapped piece of stereo gear "just because they can". Capiesh?

Honestly I do, I am very active on there when it comes to transactions but I am so sick of being short changed on the end of the deal. I'll probably reach the point of just not leaving any feedback at all until I get it. Which is why I believe you experience what you have, maybe there are so many out there that have been burned. But for the big stores with 10000 feedback that wait to do it then I agree with you. They have made their mark and no longer need the positive feedback. Most ebayers are stupid and lazy it seems.

One time I asked a guy to please leave me positive feedback about an item I had sold him. He then messaged me asking what I meant and I explained it to him. What does he do, the idiot then proceeded to send me a personal message with his "feedback" in it.

The guy had no clue how to do so even though I explained it to him. I mean how hard is it? If you can make a purchase you can leave feedback.

yea, but the Seller can only leave positive feedback, they arent alowed to leave negitive feedback for a Buyer. Yes, I hate that to, I always leave feedback when I buy something unless it just wasnt that good then I dont leave feedback, I only left negitive to sellers when they ripped me off then had to get my money back through pay pal or ebay

As a person who has bought and sold on eBay for over 15 years, I can tell you that there is no way I am going to leave feedback for a buyer until I know that they have received the item and are satisfied with it and have no issues.

I don't care if they leave feedback for me or not (I don't keep track of who has or hasn't - with my high number of existing feedbacks it doesn't really matter to me). But there is no way I am going to immediately leave feedback simply because they paid me only to then find out that they are some sort of nut job who makes false accusations.

Luckily it hasn't happened to me yet, but I've seen it in too many cases of others. Paying me is only part of the overall transaction. My shipping out promptly and with good packaging is another. But the final piece is that the buyer is happy and has no concerns. When all parties are happy - then feedback can be left if desired.

Because once you praise the person and give good feedback, you have no recourse if they turn out to be a total asshole.

I agree. I had a store on there for a while and as soon as I got payment, I left feedback. Their job was done, it was now my show.

Now I am only a buyer. I have left feedback for 100% of things I buy and have gotten maybe 80% feedback from the seller, which I don't understand. Their job was a lot harder than mine, they got 100% from me, why did I get nothing back?

It makes it hard to buy the things that say "X amount of feedback before bidding" on high ticket items. It really chaps my ass.

But the buyer did what there part...they bid, they won, and then paid...that's all they can do...

What gets me are the buyers whining for feedback to be left after they buy before they leave theirs. Nothing more annoying than a whiner sending messages through ebay crying that they want their feedback.
