Re: anybody else quitting weed?
Weed does not cause a physical addiction. It's completely mental and it does suck but it's all about self control. Some have it, some don't.

Re: anybody else quitting weed?
I have crohns but was not due to the MJ, neither is your IBS. IBS and Crohns etc are a result of your parents vaccinations when they were younger mate.

Quitting weed will not solve your stomach problems at all, however if you think it will then go ahead and try. You will be better off with aloe vera juice which I often take.

I did give up smoking MJ for around 6 years or so but started again and have one or two smokes before bed to help me sleep.

I have been smoking weed on and off for 25+ years, never ever had a problem.

I'm still researching, however there's a huge amount of testimonies of ppl who smoke having IBS, can't all have been from vaccines.. I lived a perfectly normal life prior to weed and so did other people..just look up MJ and IBS, for example what this guy said..

"Well after a long road of 6 months of horrible post-infectious IBS, I have quit smoking marijuana and the problem went away almost completely. It has been two weeks but something that is purported to be helpful for us bad poopers, turns out can cause either a negative interaction within the brain gut barrier(all psychoactives tend to $$$$$$ with seratonin/dopamine important gut neurochemicals), an overload of tar toxins, an overload of cannabinoid(there are cannabinoid receptions in the gut), or simply chronic withdrawl symptoms. I smoked copious amounts daily for 8 years, and even when I had problems I could not and would not quit, and when I finally did, they completely vanished. I experienced rapid transit time, gas, bloating, malabsorption, chronic loose odorless stools, foul fishy secretions, constipation, prolonged movements, depression, mind fog, degrading nails, hair and skin. Every problem I had, you name it, I probably had it. Incontinence, fecal body odor, fecal breath, Yeah I had it all. Blood, mucuous, parasites in the stool and/or undigested food. I went to many docs, did tons of research, collaborated with online gurus, stool and ovas, anti gen, blood work, colnoscopy, upper gi scope, like I said, you name it. It all led me back here. THough I am genetic predispositioned, it may have been simply the tar in the smoke. SO for ANYONE with IBS who is still refusing to cut out marijuana, cigarettes, alchohol, poor diet, inactivity, literally anything that probably isnt good for you, no matter how much you are in denial of it, no matter how much popular belief goes against it, chances are your body is trying to tell you something. Listen to your body. I now have 1-2 regular solid movements a day with normal fecal odor returning and bloating VANISHED(no more preggers in the gym, p.s. i am a guy). Color is normal, and movements back to being my usual good old 20 minute magazine reading session. No more hours of sweating and struggling to remove the undigested clay colored stools. I recommend Raw Fiber, natural fiber gummy bears, and Soy Yogurt w/ probiotics. I am also on PB8, but I had tried all of this stuff, and it only temporarily alleviated me from my 15-20 movements a day(last summer). Hang in there guys, and deal with what you dont want to, and most importantly, marijuana or really anything that is fairly harmless, can be come harmful in enough quantity. I learned the hard way.-He who now lives his life again, no more suicidal thoughts or depression. Hang in there guys you never know when that one day, it may go away as quickly as it came. "

Re: anybody else quitting weed?
Stop blaming weed for the problems that you/yourself cause (not personally to you but for other people that cry about weed being bad). People should stop abusing drugs and crying afterwards if something bad happened that the drug fucked you up. LEARN TO COPE.

Not ever gonna stop smoking weed, it helped me, it cleansed me, i found the light trough weed. And people who say you can OD on MJ is mentally braindead.

Have you ever thought about eating cannabis? It doesn't have to be smoked. Vaporizing?

I don't think you should quit...try another means of delivery. Your symptoms don't sound "weed" related to me...maybe something else.

The symptoms you describe to me sound like an example of a very unhealthy body. Thus, your body's mechanisms are out of tandym with one another. Weed promotes homeostasis : )

You are high if you think smoking pot will cause acid reflux. When you hit a joint the smoke goes in your mouth straight to your lungs. You need to go back to the basics if your smoke ends up in your stomach. If you have acid reflux I would look to gluten intolerance, stop consuming GMO's and HFCS and eat healthy. If youo were consuming MMJ there might be a correlation, as for now, quit burping up pot smoke and go get high.

I too smoked everyday for ten years, quit 7 days ago. It's sooo much easier after the first three days, couldn't fall asleep until exhaustion forced me, but now it's all back to normal. just push through week 1 and you can do it.

You guys all sound like fucking junkies..

It's still a GODDAMN DRUG...you don't have to get high forever and ever ever..

I already said I love weed with all my goddamn soul, Ive devoted a huge part of my life to it.. spent probably hundreds of thousands on it.. defended it till death to parents/peers.. wrote papers about MJ legalization in college..

It started hurting me. Period. Like I said, I work out everyday, I only eat healthy food, my family are health nuts who only buy gluten-free wholefoods stuff, I never eat junk food, sodas, alcohol, or anything else.. WTF else am I doing wrong that could possibly affect me other than smoking a shitload of weed?

For the past month or so, immediately after I smoke, Ive been getting HORRIBLE heartburn.. culminating in what I can only describe as a heartburn-attack yesterday.. it never happened before, if it wasn't for it I would be here dickriding weed to hell with all you guys.. I'm getting tangible negative effects frmo ingesting this drug, I can't put it any more in black and white..

You guys are brainwashed if you can't accept the fact that MJ is not absolutely perfect and it can actually hurt you.. nothing in this world is perfect, nothing is harmless.. ppl get SOO offended about it.. Im not telling you guys to quit smoking, I'm tryng to connect with those who WANT to quit because they've experienced problems.. you guys can keep going all you want.. smoke for 80 years if you want, act like nothing is wrong with it.. I, along with many other ppl, just cant do it anymore...

Re: anybody else quitting weed?
op
everyone is different
It sounds like you really toasted yourself off needlessly.
I might know part of your problem from my own battle with the life destroying crap.
Not everyone is hopelessly addicted in a way that it is the only medication that pacifies the bodily malfunctions.
I'm no doctor, but I can tell that alot of people I know that somke-up don't develop that type of dependence, a similar dependance that I was developing also. I considered it from every angle possible and could only lay the blame on my own physical and mental weakness, which was not the case.
Many people ultimately succumb as they become victims when they turn to harder drugs to keep their high going. Just lost a former co-worker last month to cancer brought on by stupidity and a reckless lifestyle. Mine was not the case. Among my multitude of problems, there we're some key health issues that we're undiagnosed and led me to have my life completely screwed over by nefarious people that sought to sweep me under the carpet as an inferior malformed being as opposed to helping me become well.

From reading your post, the first thing that strikes me is what may be affecting you the most and be a real factor in causing your slide down into sickness. THE INSOMNIA.

You need to get someone to observe your sleep. I always snored. It's just a combination of how I am made and my bodies reaction to all the dirty shit from the World that afflicts it. I am not a frail or weak person physically, but over time, because of the mistakes I made, smoking, and junkies and their crack fumes, a suppressed diaphram function because of weight gain from shit medication, and severe prolonged electrocution, I developed a disorder that is called SLEEP APNEA. When I quit smoking weed, it got worse. When I quit smoking cigarettes it became intollerable to the point that I could only sleep 2-3 hours at a time, wake up and not go back to sleep for hours. Headaches and tired all the time. A sickening deterioration in mental function, energy, and physical ability. Dizzy, disoriented, hungry all the time.

If your snoring and or stopping breathing in your sleep, you can get medical help. I felt immediately better when I got a machine to help my respiration at night when I sleep. I finally started getting proper rest.
The first thing I did was straight up my act, clean house, and quit drinking like it was nothing, because my weakness was stemming from the horrors of not being able to sleep.

If thats not the case, I am sorry to waste your time, its worth looking into, and might help, though you sound pretty far gone from your description. There is always hope for recovery.
good luck
your going to need it
and watch out for the backlash which unlike a relapse, can catch you off guard. I mean keep yourself under control and don't lose your cool when It all comes back to haunt you.

There is something really wrong with this thread.

Am I the only one that can see the deception?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28406998

I can answer this, the OP's syptoms were in no possible way caused by cannabis. All of what he described is potentially treated with cannabinoid drugs: self medication.

In the insane world of psychiatry the symptoms of certain personality disorders are fobbed off as "too much weed" especially in the case of teenagers; next up, the personality disorders worsen, overlooked: frequently the individual continues self-medication, but unfortunately the magic plant loses it's power when users are unfairly scrutinized and blamed.

Next, due to wholly inappropriate handing of the situation by psychiatry and authorities, the individual becomes angry and hateful. The latent personality disorder emerges: and that's where the idea of "problems with cannabis" comes from. A ridiculous tautology, no doubt.

Cannabis is the ultimate government scapegoat, the public seems to devour any uneducated musings on "why cannabis is to blame". They still need a group to hate it seems.

Re: anybody else quitting weed?
Don't listen to most of these people OP .....

It's just demonic forces trying to persuade you to keep smoking ...

The truth is this bro....

God made MJ for a reason and its this... it's a pain medicine and that's it ..but let me ask you this.....do you take Advil every day? ....I'm sure you don't ...you just take it when you have a headache and that's all ...

Weed is to be used he same way ... and God never intended it to be smoked ... Smoking anything defiles your body because it is harmful to it...God made it to be ingested and that's all

Another bad side affect of weed is the psychological problems that develop with long term use ... Most people become mentally addicted.... another problem is that long term use can affect the stability of your mental health ... Alot of people like me , when we take MJ ...we go into the deep consciousness of the mind and we start considering deep philosophical aspects of life ...it's ok to go to these places every once in a while but to continually live in this mental state is not healthy and usually leads to mental health problems ....

The mind can only handle so much deep thoughts before it has a psychotic break

I realize that not everyone goes into deep conscious thought when they smoke weed but a lot of us do ....the lie is that weed just makes everyone chill and relaxed.....while that is absolutely true for some ....for others it is not .....for others like me....it makes the body chilled and relaxed but it's makes the mind go into deep conscious thought

I used to be a heavy pot smoker just like you so this advice is coming from someone that has walked in your shoes

You know the truth OP and don't let anyone persuade you otherwise ....

Follow your gut instincts bro.....they are telling you to stop...you should stop

I hope you succeed bro
