Re: anybody else quitting weed?
Been smoking for 7 years, every.single.goddamn.day, without fail.. I used to smoke heavily during the day and then heavily during the night due to the brutal insomnia, over the past 6yrs or so I've been battling with IC, IBS, and lots of other symptoms relating to my bodys mechanisms.. I knew in the back of my head they were being caused by the MJ, my body feels so intoxicated frmo all the smoke, I have to piss and shit constantly because my body feels like it's rotting on the inside, my skin became discolored, patchy, I developed rosacea and age spots on my face(im only 26) I've lost the sense of smell, my nose is constantly clogged and it feels like my sinuses are so swollen they touch my brain, every morning I cough so hard I nearly puke, feels like lung cancer and it only goes away when I get the first toke of the day, not to mention the emotional symptoms such as depression, anxiety, etc.. the past few months I reached a tipping point, no longer could I enjoy it because I would get brutal heartburn everytime I smoke, I can tell weed has destroyed my stomach's mechanisms and now it's making my stomach acid come up every single time I smoke.. I used to smoke to deal with these problems even though I knew smoking was the cause.. due to weed's ability to somehow 'settle your stomach', as soon as the high is gone I was left with pain though, so I was stuck in a relentless vicious circle..

Yesterday I smoked and had heartburn so bad I was about to go to the ER because I thought I couldn't breathe and I was gonna die, it lasted hours and hours.. I'm still recovering from it, I feel like I've destroyed my body with smoke and it can no longer handle it.. I love weed, I love the feeling, I love how it picks me up when I feel down, but it's hurt me so much, it's like loving a woman who cheats on you.. setting a substance on fire and inhaling it will NEVER be good for your body.. and I've only smoked regular weed a handful of times in my life, I always smoke super high-grade stuff, it doesn't matter, it's still smoke and chemicals..

Today I decided to quit weed, please wish me luck...

Good luck, brohamulus, but it sounds like you need to lay off the cigs and alcohol before you lay off the cannabinoids.

Yea, there are literally THOUSANDS of marijuana overdoses EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.

Many times, people will OD on marijuana from just looking at pictures of it. That's how deadly it is.

Not everyone that has smoked for 6+ years shares the same symptoms as you, as weed affects everyone differently.

Oh, stop raising the BS flag - you know this is true. People have died from just thinking about looking at a picture of marijuana. Why, I know someone who died because his cousin stood next to someone who knew someone who smoked marijuana once.

It's THAT deadly!!!

I smoked weed everyday for 5 years then I experienced some messed up shit, and I have been sober for almost 1 year, I dont even drink alcohol and I feel amazing, my life is back on the right track and im looking forward to my future, I am a lot healthier and when it comes to my mind I am always thinking positive thoughts , when I smoked to many bad things happened to me that led me to think negative thoughts, but since I have stopped luck has been good to me. I just feel the sober life is the correct way to live.

No kiddin eh! I once knew a guy that smoked one joint and the devil came up and got the little sinner right there and then; the ground opened up, giant red glowing trench, flames shootin everywhere, the whole shebang. Dragged his soul kickin' and screamin' straight down to hell. True story.

Wow OP.

First off, way to abuse something so sacred. Sucks to be you, for sure.

Weed isn't meant to be smoke as much as you were.

More than anything else, you suffer from gluttony.

I smoke about a quarter of a joint at night, after the kids have gone to sleep.

Pretty nice. Perfect, actually. A little bit of weed and a book? Or a basketball game on television with a doughnut? Perfect. What the fuck were you smoking that much weed for?

People that smoke as much weed as you claim to have smoked, I have no sympathy for these fucks. They always write as though they're sort of surprised. "I had no idea weed could do this to you." Well, look how much of your day was spent smoking.

Hope you always remember how great it felt to smoke that plant, that natural old plant, here to be smoked, that our brain receives with open little brain arms.

And how you blew it.

Sad story bro, but you'll find no sympathy here.

try vaporizing. Those are mostly smoke symptoms. Any smoke is bad.

Edit - BTW an oz a month is plenty.

Weed has nothing to do with his problems.

Use weed in a respectful manner. It's a great opportunity to open your chakras and tune into higher awareness. Don't ruin the sacred herb with gluttony!

To everyone suggesting using a vape to help this guy out - this probably won't help with most of these symptoms. I've been an everyday smoker in the past and had a lot of these symptoms. quitting was hard as the symptoms were a lot worse for awhile (and i mean months) after but i'm fine now... i can still smoke like once a week and be fine but if i smoke/vape/eat weed for more than 3 days in a row these symptoms will start to come back. it isn't smoke specific (with exception to the coughing)

p.s. take these symptoms as the herb giving you a sign that you're having too much. i've always said weed is a self-regulating drug, and this is a fine example of it.

Actually OP Is fine.

The weed we have available that because it's ILLEGAL is quite unhealthy.

In fact all this war on drugs is a huge fucking experiment that is messing up humanity by replacing God's natural creations with inferior "illegal" types, and making addiction a crime rather than a disease.

Weed can be detrimental. Though OP's case seems very severe, weed definitely can bring about these symptoms also to a lesser degree so maybe OP just really really abused it also.

WE have weed that for number 1 are hybrids with excessive THC to CBD, grown unnaturally ie not in soil and natural environments. And with chemical additives from dirty water, pesticides fertilizers whatever. Then whatever else street dealer might want to give it.

Hardly ANYONE knows just where the FUCK the street weed comes from, nobody know WHO has gotten their hands on it before it gets to you, or WHAT was done to it and WHY.

Besides that too, a healthy diet, or other abuses like caffeine, etc. obviously can affect how marijuana affects a person.
