When I see a genuine, honest and sincere question that hasn't been trolled to death in these forums a million times already, where a simple use of the search bar would suffice, I will be glad to spend time and effort to offer people something they haven't previously considered.

Does life really have to have a purpose or grander scheme? Perhaps it does not. So who cares what people do no a personal level if we all at some point become worm food? If there is some higher purpose, I would at least want to think that some higher energy source might make a guest appearance once in a while to let everyone know (not just one or two people who relay the story second and third hand) globally what is expected...

Op what is your question exactly. The story of Jesus coming to earth and dieing on the cross was way before the sumerians it goes back to Adam and Eve and was a promise from God to Adam.

That's ok, maybe when she cries herself to sleep begging her "god" to save or help her, she'll remember what I wrote and realize that she's further from god than the atheists she hates so much. Sorry for getting off topic, here's something interesting to think upon OP. After a bit of research I've come to the conclusion that the sumerian language may not have been spoken as we speak now but actually sung. This would explain why they have poems instead of stories and why their words are so musical sounding.

It's such a shame that the Iraqi museum was looted and certain people have systematically gone to a lot of trouble to destroy many of the rock carvings found around the region. We have no way of knowing if any of the carvings were actual events or were for entertainment purposes or how to differentiate the two. Another interesting thing to note is that originally the religions of sumer were based on 50 gods, one for each city. Eventually however, as each city was conquered and fell, so did the number of gods, until there was only one. Sound familiar?

All I can do for you, here, is to tell you that if you study the observable sciences, you will see that they all complement each other, revealing a certain consistancy of mechanism in our Universe.
