Isaiah 17:14
AT EVENING TIME, BEHOLD THRE IS TERROR!
BEFORE MORNING, THEY ARE NO MORE.

so in the evening, the terror begins, by morning they are demolished... happens in one night

Chapter 17 describes Damascus being removed from being a city and becming a fallen ruin. Suddenly, perhaps nuclear or other devastating attack. Jeremiah 49:27 also mentions it.

One of the many verses you are looking for, I believe, is Isaiah 60:21

"then all your people will be righteous,
THEY WILL POSSESS THE LAND FOREVER,
the branch of My planting,
The work of My hands,
That I may be glorified."

The Old Testament gives a continuing saga of how the Israelis repeatedly turn away from the Lord, and when they repent, the Lord restores them to their land and their prosperity.
Ultimately, they will repent, and for His glory, not because they have been perfect, sinless people, but because He is glorified; He keeps His promises, no matter how sinful people become.

Ultimately they will repent and be restored and will possess their land forever! Israelis still have a lot of destruction and war to endure, but ultimately, they will possess the land, forever, because God says so.

You confuse prophecies. The war against Jerusalem is an another story, e.g.

Zechariah 14:14 And Judah also shall fight against Jerusalem

Joshua 15:63 Judah could not dislodge the Jebusites, who were living in Jerusalem; to this day the Jebusites live there with the people of Judah.

Judges 1:21 The Benjamites, however, failed to dislodge the Jebusites, who were living in Jerusalem; to this day the Jebusites live there with the Benjamites.

Zechariah 12:5 Then the leaders of Judah will say in their hearts, 'The people of Jerusalem are strong, because the LORD Almighty is their God.'

Israel, through Biblical history has experienced famine, war, pestilence and the sword many times. But it has been restored. The land of Israel MAY (not necessarily, but MAY)during the coming 7 year tribulatiion, be devastated again, but in the end, the land of Israel will be restored to its people. The Bible says so. That settles it.

Isaiah chapter 60...read all of it
the blessing of Israel after their restoration verse 8 and 9 tells how the Israelis will return to Israel by air, sea and land.
"the Lord will rise upon you..
and nations will come to your light..
vs.5 "the wealth of the nations will come to you."
vs 14
all those who have despised you will bow themselves at the soles of your feet; and they will call you the city of the Lord, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel." (that has never happened yet....but it will a few years from now!

verse 15 "I will make you an EVERLASTING pride,
A joy from generation to generations.

18 Violence will not be hard again in your land..
20 Your sun will set no more

21 your people.... will POSSESS THE LAND FOREVER.

Everlasting and forever mean just that....forever and ever and ever. ISRAEL WILL ENDURE FOREVER.. it may have some devastation again, but it WILL be restored and endure forever!

There are faux "palestinians" trying to take the kingdom by force and deception. But there are Israelis in the land...genuine Israelis...like Netanyahu!
Jesus says we will know His followers (now called Christians.... he was referring to authentic christians, authentic followers) by their fruits. God tells us that we would see Israel (Jews) return to their land for one example: Isaiah 60:beginning verse 8 "Who are these who fly like a cloud and like the doves to their lattices (return in airplanes,
9 Surely the coastlands will wait for Me and the ships of Tarshish will come first, to bring your sons from afar... they will come by boat..
They will come crawling, limping, bleeding back to The Land, they have already and they are continuing to go back to their land. They have not repented yet.... so many of them still do not know Jesus the King of Israel as their Savior but they will. Ezekiel describes, Chapter 36, how the desolate land of Israel will be restored, Chapter 37, explains that the whole house of Israel, hopelessly scattered...returns to its land... Chjapter 37 has been fulfilled. Israel was a dead land for almost 2,000 years, but the bones came together and the sinews and the flesh were put upon them. The people were regathered into a nation, and they are still returning. They as a whole are spiritually dead although physically restored, and the restoring of the grace of God is yet to occur fullscale.
God will use Israel to reestablish His kingdom here on earth, and has chosen Israel, through them to reveal Himself to the world. There is a differnce between what Dod is doing through Israel and what Israel is trying to do with or without God. In Chapter 38, the last attack upon Israel, Russia dn probably Iran and their allies invade Israel....will be met by heavenly forces... This will probably happen right after the rapture (and I hope so!)... there is silence about exactly when the rapture occurs. (No man knows the day or hour)... This battle will happen before Israel's spiritual rebirth.

Jerusalem is another story. Here you go Israel you was asking about:

Ezekiel 7:2 Son of man, this is what the Sovereign LORD says to the land of Israel: The end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.

Amos 8:2 Then the LORD said to me, "The end has come for My people Israel. I will spare them no longer.

You will leave your name to my chosen ones as a curse; the Sovereign LORD will put you to death, but to his servants he will give another name. Isaiah 65:15

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29561688

...‘Obey me and do everything I command you, and you will be my people, and I will be your God. 5Then I will fulfill the oath I swore to your forefathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey Jeremiah 11

I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you this day that you will quickly perish from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live there long but will certainly be destroyed. Deuteronomy 4:26

Joshua 23:15 But just as every good promise of the LORD your God has come true, so the LORD will bring on you all the evil he has threatened, until he has destroyed you from this good land he has given you.

The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you are but aliens and my tenants. Leviticus 25:23

The sin of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great; the land is full of bloodshed and the city is full of injustice. They say, 'The LORD has forsaken the land; the LORD does not see.' Ezekiel 9:9 So I will not look on them with pity or spare them, but I will bring down on their own heads what they have done.

My mountain in the land and your wealth and all your treasures I will give away as plunder, together with your high places, because of sin throughout your country. Through your own fault you will lose the inheritance I gave you. I will enslave you to your enemies in a land you do not know, for you have kindled my anger, and it will burn forever. Jeremiah 17:4

Re: Where does it say in the bible Israel will never be destroyed?
The real key is to scripturally determine who/what is actually Israel. Originally, Jacob wrestled with God and received the name of "Israel", along with a limp and a new perspective, through which he was able to see God in the face of his enemies.

Only those loyal to Christ, the King of Israel, are legal Israelites. The nation currently calling itself "Israel" is a faction of usurpers attempting to take the kingdom by force and deception. Jesus says we'll know them by their fruit, so we might want to assess whether we've seen this faux-Israel even attempt to meet the directives given them in the Sermon on the Mount. 64 years is a pretty long window.

Are you for real?!

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law."

"the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men."

Re: Where does it say in the bible Israel will never be destroyed?
Two different prophecies are being spoken of here. It is Babylon which will be destroyed in "one hour" If you consider Damascus as being that city which the whole world does commerce with including "the souls of men", you would be correct; but it is not Damascus which DOES become a ruinous heap and ceases to become a city.

It is Rome that becomes destroyed in one hour. The Roman Catholic Church has the largest portfolio of stocks in the world. No other church (or organization) can be said to do business with the entire world including its delicacies. "for by thy sorceries were all the nations deceived"; "And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth." Rev. 19 23,24.

Chapter 18 identifies that "great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls" as the great city Babylon. "In one hour, so great riches come to nought.....and shall be found no more at all." The fine linen alludes to the linen that was worn by the "high priest" in Israel and implies that these are also "priests", but not priests of God. White linen is given to the Lamb's bride for it represents the righteousness of the saints.

Context makes all the difference in the world.
The TRUTH is stranger than FICTION.
