OREGON? The Best State?? I Lived There, and I have been to more than 25 States. Oregon is the WORST State in the United States. Nothing Besides Idiots, Homosexuals, Liberals, Blacks and Mexicans.

It's a Felony to Take Sand from a Beach without Permission from the States Government. It's illegal to Collect Rain Water.

Especially if you're a Democrat! One county (Multnomah) drives the elections for the entire state!

However, speaking of natural beauty and diversity, it is indeed a spectacular place to live.

I'm from the land of corn and pigs (Iowa), and it's a great place to be from.

There's plenty of liberals and homo's in Portland, but not in the rest of the state. Hardly any blacks. Portland is one of the least black major cities in the nation. Hard to believe, but less black than Salt Lake City.

See, it was a great state until the Californians came up here and made all the above crap happen. Up until the mid-1990s, it was a great state.

However, the racist remarks are unfounded. Black are under 5% and Mexicans are between 10% and 110%.

Like everywhere else in the US, the communists/socialists and leeches are largely in the large cities and coastlands.

We have some of them here in Central Oregon, because there are minions of retired government workers, teachers and people at the public trough. Otherwise, we are mostly conservative, independent people. Anytime I meet a teacher or "retired government educator", government employee, or other government parasite, it's obvious immediately that they are leftists, and there's no way to carry on a decent conversation....absolutely nothing in common with them. But then that is the way it is all over the nation.

It's the west coast of oregon and washington that have majority leftists; the more east into oregon and washington you go, away from cities and coast, the more reasonable and independent the people are.

Mexicans are a solid 50, but it's not their fault we don't speak spanish, so don't be "racist"(this term is incorrect as we are only the human race, but I digress).

I've lived in Central Oregon since 1971.... absolutely no homosexuals or liberals/communists/blacks/ or illegals anywhere in my life! We've had several liberal acquaintances.....that never lasts longer than disclosure!

we are blessed. contrary to doom speak, our rad levels are NOT through the roof, relatively normal in fact, we have rain and crops, we have every possible terrain, rivers, mountains, hot springs, prairies, volcanoes, skiing, you name it.

and portland is the shit! i have lived in cities all over the united states and this is the one i want to spend the rest of my life in. :)

You all are acting funny, dont get me wrong im from oregon but really, im sure its hell to live anywhere. Sure i am young and have not lived many places... but i am smarter then average. volcanoes litter oregon and are slowly awakening, earthquakes bound to start happening in california... which will have severe consequences. these just a few scenarios, wake up people this is just the beginning.

Jeez, why got Widen and Merkley. Sheesh. Other than Reid, Barney, or Pelosi... it doesn't get much worse.

Factoid... national gun permit law struck down in Senate. It lost by two votes. Widen and Merkley from Oregon as well as Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell voted against it.

Even Harry Reid voted for it. I asked Widen his reasoning... he said, we don't want guns carried into Oregon without being sure of the user's qualifications and training.

I asked what criminal is going to license and what qualifications do they have? Should a person be able to defend themselves and their loved ones in case a bad person sneaks one into Oregon?

He just slobbered on himself trying to answer intelligently... as about did Merkely.

Who gives a damn?

Oregon is beautiful. It is a feast for the soul where ever you go in the state. The trees have moss on them. There is sunshine and just enough rain to keep it all shiny and clean. There are beautiful fruits of all kinds. They grow in the trees and all over the ground. Berries of all kinds are bigger, plumper, sweeter and juicer just because they grow in Oregon. They even grow wild along the rivers and highways. If that is not enough, they have nut trees! And mountains reaching up from the rivers…covered with giant wind mills that make you catch your breath.

If politics are your only criteria in finding happiness then Oregon is perfect for you. They tend to live and let live. Eateries let the well-dressed sit with the casually dressed. Comfortable time is built into the people. They deal with some cold times but are spared the extreme heat and freezing cold of most other states.


They can work on lush farms where water is no problem. Work in cities where jobs of all kinds are just as available as anywhere else. I found there to be far less judgmental attitudes than a lot of other places and a respect to allowing folks to be what they want to be. They have a pride in being different. I find them to be aware of the dangers of our present existence. There is a nod of understanding when some folks take a different stand.

Oregon has beaches, mountains for camping and a photo op on every turn. Clever birds entertain the tourists and little shops along the coast offer things you can only find "on the road." Oregon is ancient and modern. Old native art in kicking casinos. Oregon is a collection of survivors willing to take on the next challenge.

I live right next door in Idaho. But we party, gamble, swim, shop, and relax in Oregon. Oh yea, I was born there too. And if I need to, I can go over there and have the right to die on my own terms.

What do you believe that label to mean?

I grew up in Portland but have lived in several other cities. Couldn't wait to move back. It is the best city in the country. The liberals are a little out of control, but overall it's the best place I've lived.
