OP, can you do another one of those vids but next time stay longer or go slower over each area. We might see something moving there!

Might be a stupid question but taking into consideration the possibility of never being on the moon. Has anyone ever seen the Flag thru a telescope?

Not possible with a telescope or even the Hubble.

And structure in middle of big crater seen at 1:32 to 1:42.

Interesting stuff, can you zoom closer than that? Or digitally enhance it? Upload in Higher definition / resolution?

I don't have have a stronger eyepiece. But when I get one, the zoom will be way closer.

GS, I have a Meade with an MA9mm and an MA25mm lens and I feel like I can't see sh_t. I know nothing about them, do I need to order a stronger lens? The telescope is 6 inches in diameter and 16 inches long.

You gotta find out your focal length google how to find it because you don't want more than 400x magnification. You have a smaller scope so be careful on the eyepiece selection. I'm not sure how to find it exactly. I just read forums on which eyepiece is best for my scope.

Well, that was very informative!!! I can get a Barlow lens to double my magnification. But I really need to get out during the day and get everything aligned. I have a red dot scope on mine. Hope its warmish this weekend. Geo, you got me all inspired to get out there. Thanks, and thanks Hydra

Awesome!

I captured the moon a bit and even the moons of Jupiter, see in HD here [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] but this was with a Nikon D7000 with a mere 50/500 lens. Nothing like your telescope.

Can you try to get some images of Jupiter and it's moons with your set-up? Bet you it will be awesome!

Cheers OP.
 Quoting: 2012Portal

Pretty cool video. But my webcam doesn't want to pick up the moons :(

 Quoting: #Geomagnetic_Storm#

Wow, neat colors though.

I wonder - if you zoomed out a bit and focus on a broader area, if then maybe you pick up the moons?
In any event, thanks again, nice!

Ah, ok! LOL Well, great job on a budget. Still find it simply incredible what we normal folks can capture these days.

On that note - I wonder how I can jimmy-rig my set-up (Nikkon D7000 with various lenses 50/200, 50/500) to somehow zoom in even more, without shelling out tons of money??

This star watching, or better said, star filming, is addicting!
