Truth and lies in that phrase alone - those alarm bells should be clanging loudly.

He was right in saying they've had long experience in human affairs but it's a blatant falsity they have no desire to be involved in the political activities of any nation - they've been involved for centuries. General consensus, eh? Must be true. The Church has observer status at the U.N. and has never been afraid to comment, but if you imagine some secret cloak and dagger stuff, you'd be mistaken.
