The International Worker's Day was only established in the 20th century, allegedly in honour of some workers killed in a labour strike in the USA in the 19th century. In 1776, May 1st was not a holiday in any country. |

BUT the Haymarket affair took place in May 4th, not May 1st. And the convicted workers were hanged on November 11th, 1887. source: [link to en.wikipedia.org] So, how they could justify establishing the date to celebrate the Haymarket martyrs on May 1st, and not May 4th ot November 11th? |
