PLEASE...My sister is in a coma,,,Pray for her.

That is a very good thing. Please consider getting her moved today to Univ. of Iowa Hospital. The cause of this coma needs to be discovered and I don't thing the Davenport facility is capable of that kind of investigation.

she needs a complete mri scan series, two runs, with and without, get it done, make it get done, it's malpractice not to unless the blood tests are seriously abnormal.

Hey...just got electricity back on here...Huge boom this morning at 9:30 am,lights went out,then back. Then another enormous BOOM and they went out for good.
Went outside to see transformers blowing up all down the street....BOOMS,smoke,smell of fire...all my neighbors outside wondering WTF.
Then,as we watched, 3 more BOOMS and explosions of the transformers.
Smoke smell...
Within 10 minutes,the fire trucks showed up. Another 10 and FPL was there. Florida Power and Light.
About 8 trucks came and went with no resolution to the problem. Called FPL twice with no explanation. Widespread.Seems like what happened in Texas last week.

Her twin brother is there with her as well as her 2 daughters....
One is a CNA,the other just graduated from nursing School.
I can do nothing but pray.

Just got a call from my brother,Michael,twin to Debbie....
She woke up!!!! She had a drink of water and is being transported to Iowa City Hospitals.

Please don't say things like that to someone who is expressing good will towards another in need of help.

Well, there is a lot of bacterial stuff going around. I'm in Georgia, but I know of a couple of people who caught quick systemic infections and almost died because of it (most of us got the bronchitis or sinus/ear infections). Then, there has been that fungal meningitis from the steroid shots - did she have a steroid shot in the past few months?

The last thing - has she had any virus lately and did she take aspirin or Ibuprofen with it? My daughter caught a post-viral encephalitis when she took Ibuprofen on top of a virus (not uncommon with Ibuprofen). Did your sister complain of a headache or ringing ears? In my daughter's case, they gave her a spinal to test the fluids for a virus and that lowered the pressure enough that she came out of it immediately with little damage.

What wonderful news! I have been watching this thread all day to keep up to date on your sister.

I will continue to send her healing energy and good thoughts to you and your family.

She became aware enough this afternoon to take a sip of water. They are moving her to Iowa City,where the best doctors in the Midwest are.
I am so grateful to ALL of you for bearing with me,standing with me and praying with me on this.
