If so, let me offer that some people are encouraged when they receive written prayers from others. Frequently, they will use those words as their own prayer or as a way to compose one of their own.

When people are in distress, as OP was a couple of days ago, it can be difficult to put together thoughts on your own. That's why it is so wonderful when others are praying for you.
