Just hack it. There going to get you. Nobody said it would be easy.

I used (and still use in some machines) OpenDNS for the last few years... I've been very happy with their performance. Recently, I have switched over to Google's DNS servers on one particular node of my network and am equally please with the performance however not so pleased with their re-direction....

If you don't mind Google really controlling "all" your traffic, then you could use those. Out of the two, I'd recommend OpenDNS

you and it most likely.
My experience is dns servers with
6 to 8 hops are good and faster
than dns servers with 12 to 16 hops.
tracert is your friend.
