Quoting: Hahahha 28872856 Their goal is to immobilize us a la Agenda 21, hence the TSA, the assault on cars and driving, etc. Unfortunately, you're exactly right. The title of the thread should be, "Are you ready to read about more suppressed technology that we should have already been using for decades?" |

Just like the Concorde it will only allowed to fly this fast over oceans, so it will take more than 4 hours. Quoting: KipKat The air-breathing mode can be used until the engine has reached over 5 times the speed of sound and an altitude of 25 kilometres which is 20% of the speed and 20% of the altitude needed to reach orbit. The remaining 80% can be achieved using the SABRE engines in rocket mode. i doubt you will hear the booms mutch at 25km altitude and above |

| Parabola User ID: 29311787 12/11/2012 04:49 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The topic of this thread reminded me of a Richard Branson (Virgin) interview that I saw a few years ago. Havent found the video yet, but here is a report on the technology he was talking about. “We've been working on a program that can go even farther with cleaner fuels. It could be the cleanest form of air travel there is,” said Branson. “We're also trying to develop aircraft that will take you from L.A. to Australia in half and hour—literally whisk you up outside the Earth's atmosphere and down again. It's going to take a few years. With our space travel program, we are trying to come up with the Concorde of the future. Our space flights will leave from the Mojave Desert in California, and also New Mexico. We'll pop people up from L.A. into space.” [link to www.dailygalaxy.com] edit: a link to the video is at the bottom of that page, or here Last Edited by Parabola on 12/11/2012 04:52 AM |

What this does is give us a nice indication of the time gap for military to civilian trickle-down... and as anyone interested in aviation can see, it's a loooong time. I wonder what amazing toys the military has today that we won't see for another 40 years. |
