We lived at 9,800' in Colorado.
For 3 years...
We survived by DRIVING TO THE GROCERY STORE.
We did keep extra supplies. We've been preppers since the early 90's.
But FFS op you make it sound like you are on the moon.

Any altitude above 6'000' can be tough on the unfit... but you soon adjust. You do fart alot the first few days because of the reduced pressure.

Had snow tires year round... always kept a blanket, shovel and food in the trunk.But thats what you do here.
