Uh really? You are at 54 degrees latitude in your cold wet northerly island. It is now winter. The sun should be in the southeast as far as I can tell.
The sun is in the south east for me as well in the morning and I'm way down at 42 degrees latitude.
In fact during the winter the sun would be slightly south even at the equator. Welcome to geography 101.
