you do realize that the reason they do this is because they have this whole "theory" that treating people like shit and shoving them into a prison where they are forced to become criminals to survive, doesn't help them get better. You guys do remember jails are supposed to straighten people out right? I've read so much on Norway's prison system and guess what?! Their remission rate for released convicts is VASTLY better than ANYWHERE else in the world. But you guys are right, when someone has acted like a soul-less animal, it is our duty as civilized humans to be soul-less animals to them as well.
