Jesus never begged anyone to listen to Him, or to believe what He said. He simply offered it, take it or leave it. He never said, "maybe", or "might". He simply laid it out, and gave people the option to accept or reject.

I can tell that all this stuff REALLY gets under the skin of you atheists here. There's a good REASON for that, from a spiritual standpoint. You don't have the "peace" in your mind ans heart that you want people to believe that you do.

If you answer 'Yes' to either of these questions, we would have to surmise that if the churches and texts were removed and done away with, then 'God' would cease to exist, yes?

If you answer 'No', then you cannot accuse me of not knowing the 'word of God' because we would both agree that 'God' is not found in a church nor in any text written by man/men.

If you prefer searching for 'God' in the words of other men and outside of your own consciousness, well that is up to you to decide. Just do not be disappointed when your knowledge of 'God' is reduced to and limited to only what others have instructed you to believe.

According to the bible, the "church" is the collective body of Christ. No matter where you are, even if alone on an island. If you are one of Abraham's seed, then you are part of "spiritual Israel", or... the "church".

OP, you have a right to believe what you want. But how can you totally discredit a religion that has first person accounts of it's figurehead that were written over 2000 years ago? I put much more credit into someone like Matthew, Mark, Luke or John who actually saw these things, than a critic that lived thousands of years later and was not there to see these things like they were. Oh, and not to mention the over 500 witnesses mentioned that saw them as well.
