You go back to the passage, and look at who Jesus was referring to. It wasn't EVERYONE. It was the soldiers He was speaking of. Look at the sentence right after He said it.

The word THEY" refers to the ROMAN SOLDIERS, who had crucified him, and were then casting lots and dividing his garments. here it is:

"And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they (the Roman soldiers) crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, And saying, If you be the king of the Jews, save yourself."

1) Why is morality taught by a system of reward (Heaven) and consequence (Hell)? Is a good deed not a reward in itself?

2) If everything is a lesson, what is the use of the knowledge that comes from the punishment of being eternally tortured in Hell?

3) Why is it easier to believe in a pregnant virgin, a divinely burning bush and a resurrection rather than the more logical explanations?

God would judge His people with submission to the foreign invaders (a wooden yoke) who weren't overly oppressive and mainly required taxation. Wheat isn't quite so easy, and required threshing to be harvested. Lastly, grapes were juiced by being crushed. Ultimately, however the result is bread and wine for God's table. Sorry... But I don't return praise, for attacks. There are a number of different Greek and Hebrew words that are translated from the ORIGINAL languages, into the English word "love".

Christians are not required to have warm and fuzzy feelings towards those who attack them. They are supposed to "love" them the way it is outlined at the end of Romans 13. We are supposed to keep the commandments towards them. We are to refrain from murdering our neighbor, stealing from, coveting their goods, adultery with their wife, etc...

Go take a look yourself. Or better yet, I'll just post it here, since you're probably like the Oztard who fled when the scripture was printed right here, exposing his lies for everyone to see.

Take a look at this. Here is the biblical definition of "love" for a neighbor:

"Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law. For this, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, You shall not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law." Romans 13:8-10

It says to love your neighbor as yourself, yet we read in other passages that we are NOT to "love ourselves".

So "love, as it pertains to your neighbor, is simply respecting their rights, and keeping the law in regards to them. It does NOT mean that you have to feel warmth and affection for them.

That is why a DIFFERENT word is used in the Greek to refer to the love of your BROTHER, as opposed to a neighbor. We ARE commanded to have love in the form of affection, for our BROTHERS (and sisters)in Christs.

I assure you, Jesus will demonstrating a LOT less warmth and affection style of love than I have, when He returns to destroy the plague of wickedness upon the earth. The bible makes it perfectly clear that the vast majority will be laid waste.

He will, on the other hand, show them "Agape" love. Which means loving them in such a way that he does what is best for them, no matter what. Even if it means destroying them.

And He has judged that what is best, is that they be removed from His kingdom.


As a side note, I don't EXPECT for the truth to be popular here. Not in Satan's kingdom. That is not my goal, to be "popular". The closer one adheres to the truth, the more one will be despised and attacked. In Satan's kingdom, the truth is the most despised thing of all.

This is why Jesus told us not even to waste our time, preaching to those who are HOSTILE to the word of God, and to those who believe in it. He told us not to give what is Holy to the dogs, and not to cast pearls before swine. And to shake the dust from our feet, which is what I'll do now.
